If the (admittedly unclear) timeline is to be believed, Chris has said weird shit about Barb long before the Rubik's Cube convention where she first made contact with Chris. Bella would have to have been Bluespike-level young for this to be her orchestration.

yeah, i don’t think at all that she was the one to plant the seed in his head, but i feel she definitely encouraged it and is scrambling to hide it now that police are involved.

Yes. All he has said, in private, is that he "never heard bella mentioned" before the 20th of July. Which leaves about maybe two weeks of Fiona and Chris interacting (G202 claims Fiona began contact in early July) without Bella's direct involvement -- to G202's knowledge. But if Bella was talking to Chris before that, and it appears that is the case, it is possible Bella learned of Fiona that way and roped her into whatever was going on. If Grant's understanding is correct, anyway.

Bella/Kelly has been in contact with Chris since AT LEAST January.
Grant was only *told* about Bella, through Fiona, in the timeframe you're specifying
Fiona has likely been talking to Chris since June.
