Crime Man Who Hid in Girl's Bedroom Closet for More Than a Month Jailed for 15 Years

ALouisiana man who hid in a 15-year-old girl's bedroom for several weeks has been sentenced to 15 years in prison Wednesday after pleading guilty to having sexual relations with the minor, according to a statement issued by the local county sheriff's office.

Jonathan Rossmoine, 36, was arrested by officers from the Hernando County Sheriff's Office on September 27, 2020, after the parents of the unnamed teenager called the authorities to report finding an adult man hiding in their child's bedroom.

According to the police, Rossmoine had been living in the storage space in the 15-year-old's bedroom for more than a month before he was discovered at the family's home in Spring Hill, Hernando County, Florida, when they heard noises coming from the room.

Rossmoine told police that he drove from Louisiana to Florida several times that year to have sex with the girl, whom he first met on a virtual reality social platform known as VRChat, which enables users to create 3D avatars and interact with others.

The victim referred to as her boyfriend while talking to police and said that she initially told him she was 18, before admitting she was actually 15 when they met.

Rossmoine confirmed that he had been living in the child's storage space on and off since August 19, 2020, explaining that he would hide in her closet before leaving it when her parents went to work.

He said that he had several sexual encounters with the girl inside of her bedroom as well as in his van, which he parked close to her parents' house.

Detective Tom Cameron, of Hernando County Sheriff's Office, said Rossmoine told them that "he and the young lady came up with the idea that he could just stay in her room if he hid in the closet whenever the parents came in.

"They kept the bedroom door closed and locked and whenever someone came to the door it gave them an opportunity to run and hide in the closet and open up the door to where maybe she was changing or something."

Following his arrest, Rossmoine was charged with four counts of lewd and lascivious behavior with a victim between the ages of 12 and 16, obscene communication, and traveling to meet after using a computer to lure a child.

Rossmoine will have to report as a sexual offender for the rest of his life and serve 10 years of sex offender probation upon his release in addition to the 15 years in prison, according to the Hernando County Sheriff's Office statement.

Newsweek has contacted the Hernando County Sheriff's Office for comment.

Parents, PAY ATTENTION TO THE SHIT THAT YOUR KIDS ARE DOING ONLINE. If not, you'll end up like this poor family. The statistics for such are actually pretty horrifying, when you really think about it:
  • 40 percent of kids in grades 4-8 reported they connected or chatted online with a stranger. Of those 40 percent:
    - 53 percent revealed their phone number to a stranger
    - 21 percent spoke by phone with a stranger
    - 15 percent tried to meet with a stranger
    - 11 percent met a stranger in their own home, the stranger’s home, a park, mall or restaurant
    - 30 percent texted a stranger from their phone
    - 6 percent revealed their home address to a stranger (Children's Internet Usage Study, Center for Cyber Safety and Education, March 2019)
  • Just 28% of parents have installed software on computers to prohibit certain website visitation; only 17% have such software on mobile devices, and just 15% on gaming consoles (Cox Communications 2012)
  • In a survey of 825 adults and children between the ages of seven and 16, Shared Hope International found one out of eight parents allowed their children to use the internet from the age of two. Consequently, only one out of 10 make their children wait until they are 10 or older, as recommended by experts.
  • Over 45 million children ages 10 through 17 use the Internet. Among them:
  • One in five has been sexually solicited
  • One in four has encountered unwanted pornography
  • Close to 60% of teens have received an e-mail or instant message from a stranger and half have communicated back
  • Over 75% of Internet crimes involving sexual solicitations of children and exposure to unwanted pornography is not reported to police or parents
Most children know more about the Internet than adults do. As a result, many parents do not supervise their children's Internet use. Here are some surprising statistics:
  • An estimated 20% of parents do not supervise their children's Internet use at all
  • Only 52% of parents moderately supervise their children's Internet use
  • Some 71% of parents stop supervising Internet use by their children after the age of 14, yet 72% of all Internet-related missing children cases involve children who are 15 years of age or older
  • Close to 62% of teens say their parents know little or nothing about the websites they visit

Lmfao, of course this happens on fucking VRChat. I've only ever been on VRChat one time and everyone on the server's in game skin was a little anime girl. Some dude on VRChat tried to creep on one of my friends over Discord once too. I know that anecdotes aren't data, but I'm 100% sure VRChat is jew-y. Every male older than 18 on VRChat is a niggerfaggotjew who should get a job.

“We’ll convert your children, happens bit by bit, quietly and subtly and you will barely notice it.”
...
“You’ll be disgusted when they start finding things online that you’ve kept far from their sight”.

--The San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus.

They later claimed the lyrics were jokes but at least three of the chorus turned out to be sex offenders and the same person who wrote those lyrics also wrote a musical about fucking underage boys, so...

Anyway, just agreeing with you.
