Near impossible that he doesn't considering even Chris's extended family knows about it (since they rescinded their invitation for him to stay with them). I cannot say I blame the guy who staying as far from it as he possibly can.
Anyway we can find out for sure?

He is high profile, VA wont want the bad press. He will be fine.
Dylann Roof, Jared Fogle, and James Holmes have all been assaulted in prison, despite being in AdSeg. All of these people were more "high profile" than Chris. They'll do what they can to keep Chris safe, but there's no guarantee.

Chris has spent his whole life doing whatever he wanted. Being surrounded 24/7 by things he finds pleasing. Living in his own little world. Prison is going to break him, even if no other inmates manage to lay hands on him. What little remains of his sanity will be destroyed. There's no way Chris can comprehend the unrelenting brutality, boredom, and loss of autonomy that is prison life.

And if he isn't put into some kind of protective custody? Well, I think everyone saying no inmates would bang him are waaaaay too optomistic.

And, yeah, other inmates will make him wash his ass, and maybe even lose weight. There are a lot of ex-cons with YouTube channels. One dude was talking about a convict who controlled his punks' diets, to the point of snatching food right out of their hands. One vlogger, Jay Williams, did time in Virginia, check his channel if you want an unvarnished view of life in the VA prison system.

I'm not saying for sure this will happen to Chris, but I would say it's definitely possible.

I feel bad for Cole; eternally in my half-bros shadow. Never to escape. Bring referred as: "The half-brother of that incestuous rapist Chris-chan"

Chilling stuff.

Does anyone have an opinion as to whether Chris is likely to take this to trial or to accept a plea deal?

The SVU episode ripped from the headlines is going to be a wreck.

The detectives are going to trace the Chris analogue's activity to a site called "Lolcow Ranch" and its evil and callous owner Jeffery Sunn, (Ice-T will helpfully define "lolcow"). They're going to imply that the crime was egged on by the website, and Mariska Hargitay is going to have a speech about how the internet makes people into monsters.

It depends on what his charges are. But with how far gone Chris is, I won't be surprised he doesn't think he's guilty.

Either way this will result in Chris being homeless or put in prison
