So your solution to all of this is to, to use part of your own words against you, "let the world know that I hate a shitty toddlers' show" and to "let the world know that I hate people who watch a shitty toddlers' show."I think the main problem with them is that they were watching it in public. If they managed to completely hide this shit from me, then good for them. They decided, "I'm gonna let the world know I watch a shitty toddlers' show". I can't accept that.
Chris-chan, too, was triggered by those windows into hell known as low-functioning autistics. They were all typically nonverbal, except for the occasional grunt or moan.
Dude, they're severely handicapped people with the mental capabilities of toddlers. They do not have the cognitive ability to be self-conscious about their choice of entertainment. Only an asshole would look down on what is basically a small child watching entertainment for small children.I think the main problem with them is that they were watching it in public. If they managed to completely hide this shit from me, then good for them. They decided, "I'm gonna let the world know I watch a shitty toddlers' show". I can't accept that.
Okay, look. People have different tastes. If the Sped class wanted to watch Barney, so be it.It kind of has to do with the unhealthy amount of exposure I had to it when I was in high school and seeing people my age or older partake in watching this shit when they really shouldn't be.
Ok, I laughed.Wait, what do you have against fabric softener?
Why? It's something that they're not telling/forcing you to watch, it's their prerogative. Shouldn't you hate Everybody Loves Raymond more than Barney, then?
But again, most of this class was non-verbal so it's hard to tell if it was their decision or just kind of "Hey, let's put this on, it solves everything".Okay, look. People have different tastes. If the Sped class wanted to watch Barney, so be it.
I'm sorry, did you even read the posts above you?The problem is I should not be seeing this in a high school environment. We should be well past this. We should not support a high school that plays a show with an episode called "Let's Play School" after the viewer in question has already gone through about 8 years of actual school and is obviously a complete misrepresentation of what school is actually like.

Having to live an environment where they played shitty movies like The Smurfs, Beverly Hills Chihuahua, Flubber, Yogi Bear and Hocus Pocus isn't necessarily what I'd call having a quality standard. I went into high school hoping for a new beginning, a new way to allow myself to mature, only to be disappointed when I see shit like Barney still being played for these autists.
Nah, mainly because I wasn't an avid practiser of the Catholic faith, despite me growing up in a Catholic-raised family. And to that other post by Sanae, I really wanna just reply with "tl;dr", but I'll just say that if they really were that way, then they wouldn't have played any of those dadrock concerts I mentioned, nor Wreck-It Ralph nor an episode of Batman The Animated Series, amongst Barney and those other shitty movies I brought up. That's kind of why I hate those now, because I just find them to be just as juvenile as Barney given that's the environment they played them in.Didn't you go to a Catholic high school? Surely they taught you something about how what you believed wasn't a compassionate way to think.
You really don't get it, do you? I'm struggling to find a way to explain this to you. The school didn't do anything Barney related. What did you want them to do, watch people online to make sure they didn't look up Barney, and only stop them if they did?Nah, mainly because I wasn't an avid practiser of the Catholic faith, despite me growing up in a Catholic-raised family. Were you bullied in school?
Not sure what I'm majoring in. And no, I typically pay attention to my slides in class, with my RSS feed on the left side of my screen ready so when an MLP thread comes up, I pop in. There was maybe one time when an MLP thread on /v/ happened while I was in a business course, and I was snickering at the shitposting going on in that thread, and unfortunately, the prof was walking through the halls of the room and caught me, briefly stopped to say "I don't think you're supposed to be laughing in this class". I didn't get in deep shit for it, but it was still a bit of an embarassment. What's your major? Has your teacher every told you to fuck off for browsing 4Chan in class?
No, not really, at least in the traditional sense.
