Its also possible they locked him down because of his autism rendering him completely unpredictable and the last thing the cops want is to track this idiot down, wasting time and money. Especially given his previous criminal history includes macing somebody on legally unprompted grounds, so 'threat to the community at large' definitely was part of it if you ask me.

Held without bond is a really big deal.

That happens only with serious criminal charges involving danger to the community (i.e. Barb) or a flight risk. Given his Distinctive Appearance and lack of money, I think we can rule out the flight risk.

My understanding is that it's not so much that he's being held without bond, it's that he hasn't met with a judge yet so no bond has been set either way.

I can't tell, the Virginia court system isn't showing anything. yet However, the source stated he was being held without bond with further charges pending, so I don't think it's just due to him not being arraigned.

He was arrested yesterday and then transferred to another facility today so no. Hopefully tomorrow or Wednesday.
