Guh, did I watch his mainstream vs niche video before I stopped following him altogether? It sounds like something I would've seen, but if it was over-bloated with him verbally masturbating over the thought of being a subjective critic, maybe that's why I don't remember it. I'll still stand by my word his The Asterisk War vids were the last entertaining thing I saw of him, in which even to this day, nearly six years since it first aired, I still remember the legit frustration and redpill I had to swallow over the over-saturation of seasonal anime, especially light novel adaptations. I was honestly glad he brought up Chivalry of a Failed Knight to help prove his point due to the numerous similarities between the two series, especially since Chivalry was overall the better of the two, yet Asterisk War got two seasons for some reason with no improvement.

Anti-depressants messing with his eyes makes sense. Probably is why he got super sensitive to the light, but eh.

Unpopular opinion but I feel bad for May. Yeah, she's a stupid bitch who's made an endless stream of bad decisions, but at one point she was a fan of Digi like many of us. He turned out to be more complicated than she expected, and their conversations about gender took off down a path that she couldn't control. Now, she's stuck between a rock and a hard place. While the absence of any photographical or video evidence of his alleged debut last week does seem to run counter to his brief performance at end of the show in late April 2021 being filmed (albeit a minute or two excerpt) and uploaded to Twitter, the Yggers have taken many weeks, if not months, to slowly release content they clearly shot while they were still living in Virginia Beach. Maybe they are still working with the footage that was apparently shot by Bird and hope to release a well-edited version of it, rather than a hasty one. Go ahead and rate me optimistic, I know I am being that.

True, but I'm not sure Digi sees the internet as a primary source of validation at this point, or at least the circles they used to run in. Since they decided to burn their old channel, it seems like they identify less and less with their established online personas (a former Twitter addict who now barely touches it). If not for the chance of pushing old viewers into the new content, I sincerely believe they would have deleted the YT channel completely, and at this point everyone who is going to make the jump already has.

It might be that getting praised by people who have nothing to do with the anime era (parents were around before, rapper friends showed up after) feels better because it's not contaminated by previous failure, and they are enjoying that degree of separation.

I also don't see any bruises in his face so at least they didn't threw stuff at him. I do think they're overworked. they're probably putting all of their effort in the alphabet show since no one cares about Digi interviewing random rappers.
