I got down to 185 before doing keto and alternate day fasting and then I gained it back.

PPP's diet is unsustainable. He'll lose the weight but he doesn't know how to feed himself.

Not trying to give unsolicited advice but there's a reason I'm looking at 1kg a week and I'm not going to fastschwitz. I'm trying to get healthy, not thin.

All the nutrition gurus I personally find convincing say combining diet & exercise, when you want to lose a significant amount of weight, is a recipe for failure. Have to focus on diet. PPP has mentioned he's doing water fasts, AND lifting weights. I think he's the kind of maniac who'll eventually get his weight down if that's what he wants, but "pizza day" makes more sense than this.

Reminds me more of a scary, talking tree in an old cartoon.
the problem with that is the combo of 'wow im really tired' and then people over eat. Realistically after a weight lifting workout where you hope to pack on some extra muscle fibers you want to consumer about 30gs of liquid protein. Thats why you see folks talking about powders/shakes because within 30 minutes of a workout the protein will help your body recover fast...and then about an hour after workouts you should be trying to have a protein focused meal.

The problem is people who are extremely large will go 'oh now I can go get some fast food' instead of realizing that something like a caesar salad with grilled chicken/nuts will contain like 50g's of protein and be alot healthier resulting in better performance. In general 'diet' is very important so shifting away from fast food can also result in weightloss because you stop consuming empty calories.

PPP needs to come in out of nowhere with the weight loss competition to dab on Josh and Ralph.

For fat fucks like PPP fasting is by far his best bet to jump start the weight loss and build the momentum to see it through. If that pic of the food he broke the first fast with is an indicator of how he'll break all his fasts, he'll be fine.

I plateaued at 210lbs but fasting kick-started the weight loss and now I'm hanging around the upper 170s. I tried keto before but I wasn't a fan of the constant fats and avocados aren't cheap.

The trick is to eat slowly when you break the fast. You'll get full with the normal amount of food despite your desire to binge.
 
It's actually healthier than calorie restriction because after a day or two (depending on the individual) your body goes into autophagy where you body starts to clean out old and damaged cells, while creating new ones.
There are a lot of studies showing a weekly daily fast cleans out a lot of the dead/retarded cells and whatnot.

Fasting is fantastic tool to lose weight, the problem is if you lose all the weight you need to fasting and then go right back to your fat faggot diet where you eat enough calories to maintain 300 pounds of fat faggotry. AFTER reaching your goal weight you need to count calories just as religiously and learn to cook until your default eating patterns start to become healthy.
