Well I guess if anyone had epic plans to break into Chris's house Mission Impossible/Oceans 11 style to steal the piles of trash and toys shoved into it now's the time. Its open season on Chris memorabilia. Or you know wait until it all ends up in a dumpster when the house gets repossessed by the bank because one of its inhabitants is in a nursing home for dementia and its other inhabitant is in jail/on the street.

If that's how this pans out, repossession won't be a quick process. Even if Chris is incarcerated and the bills on 14 BC stop dead they'd still have to go through the processes of foreclosure and eviction like any other property. In Virginia this process would take a minimum of 60 days for foreclosure and another 30 days for eviction, but any complications to it (which there usually are) can easily lengthen the process from months to years.

The airsoft “damage” (at least from what I can tell is being thought of as damage) was still on the car on the 2nd as well as both plates with no sticky note.

Why? Aside from objects of christological importance and a few rarities that would fetch a pretty price on eBay, it’s literally all just plastic junk and toys. And ok, 1000’s of dollars worth of LEGOs.

What I like about Chris-chan is that, just like those 80ies TV shows, every saga has a moral of some kind.

In this case, the moral would be: “Live your life as a selfish prick and push aside any real friends, and you’ll regret it eventually.”

It would take a friend or two a weekend to go through Chris’s shit, take aside the most important stuff and take it back to their ceiling or basement for storage.

But... There’s nobody there.

Right now some local crackhead is ready to do 10-15 in the clink for armed robbery or rape or whatever. He has his shit tucked safely away with a friend, a cousin, an uncle, whatever.

Chris got nothing of the sort. And it’s 100% all on him.

I'd be interested to see if weens have the balls to actually break into 14BC. There's no guarantee that it's vacant - Barb might call a relative and ask them to house-sit, for example. And I'm sure the police have been there at least once, and may be going back. It's a lot higher risk than just nicking the license plate.

When you cancel your reg you have to turn in the plates or report them lost/stolen. If lost/stolen plates end up on your car then your fucked for misuse of plates and your car gets impounded. If the plates are reported stolen then you get busted for that too.

Also if Chris cancels the reg then someone else could get that vanity plate. Or if it expires and the grace period for renewal runs out then you could get it. It wouldn't be the same physical plates. They would stamp new ones.

Edit: its the same in VA. The plates are state property.

License plates are swapped, traded and sold for lulz all the time.

I saw a bar recently where they had a wall full of license plates from different states.

Wonder of wonders, the feds haven’t raided it yet.

Do some of you speds think that the State of Virginia has a special taskforce to track down shit like this?

Sell a funny license plate and about the worst that you risk is that eBay takes the listing down. (If you’re dumb enough to put it on eBay.)

Plus, and I can't believe this only just occurred to me, Barb might be back at 14BC already. She was never charged with a crime, and she is not in custody. She wouldn't spend more than a couple days at the hospital unless she was really injured. I don't think anyone has confirmed whether 14BC is occupied right now.
