He's just paying for the cheapest plan through the healthcare.gov marketplace.
And then bitching about having to drive an hour to get to an UC that accepts it, and then bitching about the UC doctor only being able to tell him he has an ear infection.

For non-burgers, urgent care clinics are for things like workplace injuries and health issues that are (as the name would imply) urgent, but not life-threatening, and therefore not necessitating an emergency room. They are almost always lower in terms of cost by several degrees as well, so they serve a vital function. They are not, however, intended to treat recurring, minor issues. Like ear infections. For that one should be seeing one’s PCP (primary care physician, known as a GP or general practitioner in other parts of the world) who would be able to recommend a specialist if it was necessary. Unfortunately Phil apparently decided long ago that having a doctor who knows you and understands your health isn’t a valuable resource and I guess is for nudniks or something because he never got one.

Phil likely bitched at the UC about recurrent ear infections because he’s a disgusting ape and they keep coming back because he doesn’t wash, clean his headphones, or complete the courses of antibiotics prescribed to him from previous visits for the same problem. The doctor then took pity on him and wrote him a referral to a specialist, likely an otolaryngologist (an ENT, or Ear, Nose and Throat doctor). Phil then bitched that the specialist was scheduled two and a half months out. Yeah, no shit, Sherlock; you were going through this in April and May when most of the country still wasn’t considering lifting COVID restrictions. Specialists in many parts of America weren’t seeing patients at all, and I don’t mean just in the sticks, I mean in some of the most concentrated medical provider areas as well. So yes, they were a little backed up. Poor Phil. Clearly he survived because eventually he stopped bitching about it, likely because it went away. He also never bothered to ask the specialist if they could refer him elsewhere, which most offices have no problem doing, and if he had a PCP all he would’ve needed to do was pick up the phone and ask them. Maybe he doesn’t have a PCP because they won’t communicate with him via email exclusively, I don’t know. If he was that scared about it many providers even now are doing e-visits but having someone watch him via phone video chat and discuss his health is in some insane way far more intrusive than having internet weirdos gawk at you while they send you nickels to ask what you had for dinner for the 16,738th time.

tl;dr Phil is a paranoid retard and all of his problems are of his own making, like always.

He did. Made his dad do other shit for him too. Probably all while sat on his ass complaining. Don't have the source for it though as I can't find it.
I recall from one of Tevin's Back in Time streams when DSP was in his old CT condo there was a trash bag of old clothes he was going to throw out and I swear DSP says, "this bag weighs like 50 pounds so I'm gonna have to get my dad over here to help me move it". He really is a pathetic man.

Here is the video (2:35)

I forget the exact clip, but sometime in the last week when DSP was listing what he would buy if he got "extra income to use on business expenses", he listed X-Box, laptop, and chair, and even said it was that specific order. So yes, right now if given the option he thinks an XBox would be more beneficial than not using a 10-year-old laptop with Windows 8. Because the laptop is working right now, so why would he need to improve it?

I'm convinced DSP will not get a new computer until his current one literally breaks, and then he will still get a used piece of shit because "he doesn't have the money for a new one." Remember, DSP bought a USED laptop when he moved to Washington and was still making Machinima money; that's the laptop he's still currently using 5 years later.
This was my post on June 30th, so within 5-6 weeks of saying he would need three things if DSP ever managed to get "extra income to use on business expenses", DSP now has all three.
