Chris court appearance

The biggest tragedy in all this is that there were no cameras in court to record any of this.

Will do, writing this down, looks like we're making a trip and recording it. More people should make plans though, it needs to be well documented, especially if my plan or someone else's falls through. I will be sure to do my best though

I've gotten to the point where I'm convinced the only kind of "reality" that will set in on Chris is that something is making him sad. He's a large, spoiled child with an ego that accentuates his selfishness. He doesn't care that he did something that made got him in trouble, he cares that people are "being mean to him." He doesn't think that he may have violated Barb and wouldn't care if he did it anyway because fucking her made him feel good. He goes to court and talks all about himself and his toys. There is no self-awareness coming. That train left the station long ago.
The thing that might do it is something stupid like the brony convention coming and going.

Imagine Chris getting sent away for years, getting out, then traveling to the house in Ruckersville, only to find it sold to new owners who have remodeled and thrown away all of the hoard...

That might be the mother of all spergouts. I could totally see him trying to force himself inside screaming that it's his home.

How does it work with his possessions? What will happen to the ones at the motel, and the ones at home if the house is sold to pay for Barb going into care?

Maybe this is just the wake up call he needs. Regardless of whether he goes to jail or some to psychiatric institution he's going to be medicated and have some rules and discipline. He is not that old. Maybe, just maybe, he could improve a bit although I'm pretty sure he will revert back as soon as he gets out. All this assuming he doesn't just get house arrest, which I doubt.

Oh my god, this idiot really thought they'd let him out to stop by home and get some toys???? What the fuck. That's retarded even for him. He really doesn't seem to grasp the gravity of the situation he's in right now
Yeh that'd be my biggest concern as a lawyer right now. It looks like the judge who has been appointed specifically dealt with juvenile cases so he's probably going to be a bit more patient on the outburst stuff.

Anyone heard anything about Barb? To me she's either going to be a key prosecution witness or another defendant.

Chris has no one to look over the house for him. And the dog is at the pound. I'm sure they aren't telling him much about Barb's status... but what is on the top of his mind? He worries about his toy hoard.

The mortgage will go into default with no one to pay it, the bills will pile up at the door, and in the not too distant future, the house and its contents will go to the creditors. You can bet that the neighbors won't lift a finger to help them. They probably can't wait for the house to be taken away so they can get some nice new neighbors at 14 BC.
The neighbors are probably long sick and tired of the Chandlers, and all the more glad Chris is finally gone for good and ain't coming back. If Barb doesn't end up coming back home, the mortgage payments will never be paid and the bank will almost certainly start foreclosure proceedings in the near future. Chris might end up being released from prison in some distant future and end up coming back to 14 Branchland only to witness someone else living there or the house being entirely bulldozed if the bank decides it's not worth the upkeep.
