I can't wait for the inevitable "this bleeding definitely indicates another miscarriage because I'm totally sure the doctors were certain I was pregnant even though I never had a positive test" saga. It's kind of weird to have this level of up-to-the-minute data on some woman's period.

Absolutely! I cannot wait for this, because it is totally going to happen. Not to PL, but a woman I know didn’t know she was pregnant for nearly 20 weeks (she's an idiot but this was stunning even for her) in part b/c she sperged out and bled a lot and thought she had a miscarriage, didn’t go to the doctor to verify said miscarriage, but yup, was pregnant. Baby was born perfectly healthy. Both that bitch and Becky could solve their damn problems by just going to the doctor.

Becky's doctor is pretty consistently based and takes her symptoms about as seriously as we do. While it's probably more evidence of an overburdened medical system than anything, it couldn't happen to a nicer person.

I don’t believe her doctor has this affect at all, though if they do, I support it. But bottom line, if she’s claiming she has had blood tests that show she isn't pregnant, she isn’t pregnant. She's two to three weeks removed from her missed period, depending on what story she is telling on the day, which is enough time for a blood test to be accurate.

Don't even get me started on the food craving nonsense. I’ve never been pregnant but I do know basic stuff about reproductive health to know she's projecting way too much too fast.

But yes, I look forward to her period finally coming, her turning it into a miscarriage, and the pleas for attention for her lost child that didn’t even exist.

I fucking love Becky’s doctor. They’re the true hero of this story. This is at least the third time she’s gone to the doctor all munchie and gotten rejected.

I just want to drop a knowledge tidbit given to me by an actual doctor: at-home pregnancy tests are so accurate nowadays that unless you're considered medically complicated, doctors will rely on them. (I always thought you took an at home test, then went for a blood test, but nope.). So her doctor must not actually consider a poor suffering TBC mom. She doesn't need to go in for a blood test. The tests are right.

At home tests can be accurate up to 10 days before a missed period as well. Becky is +60 days from that point, she's clearly not pregnant.

Who would have thought years of a sedentary lifestyle, weight gain, and rampant emotional instability would have an effect on her overall health. Who could have told her this (besides every doctor she's ever talked to).

She also doesn't understand why doctors are so hum drum about miscarriages - it's because they're 100% impossible to stop. There isn't anything they can do, even if they identify it early, to stop it from happening. It literally, as her doctor said, "just happens".

10-20% of pregnancies end in miscarriage. If you’ve already had a miscarriage, the chances are more like 20% that you’ll have another one. This is why most people don’t name the baby or announce their pregnancy until 4-5 months in, where there’s a significantly higher chance of the baby surviving.
