Correct me if I'm wrong, but in the call with Chris, didn't she talk about possibly getting a leg of the flight to Everfree with Chris via a connecting flight in Massachusetts or something like that? Would lead me to believe she would likely be going to NY instead of New Mexico.

Ex-intelligence agents don't even have that much pull either way.

At best, they have friends in the legal field who may be willing to do them a favor, but everything within the intelligence field proper would have to be documented and there is a lot of oversight/logs of any actions or resources agents would be taking or using for anything.

Some of this stuff would be potentially there to prevent misuse of government property and assets, others to cut down on corruption, nepotism, and other similar things, and yet others to potentially stave off blowback, risked leak of information, or even counterespionage/spying.

Even her father or mother attempting to go to old friends in the industry and to ask for favors would have to be documented. Accessing classified ordinances would require a reason.

There's no need to worry about a retired glowie. They likely would have lawyer friends and possibly good ones + money to pursue a legal case, but thats really it.
