Oh Phil... This isn't going to work. Playing old games that he has already played, that no one cares about. Playing kiddie shit that no one cares about. Playing games that would draw a crowd but Phil can't be bothered to try not sucking at them, and will quit in short order.

What gets me is that he knows this isn't working. He keeps saying so, any time he complains about playing something, which happens when he isn't making enough tips and/or is getting his ass wrecked.

This needs to stop, Phil. Your days of holding onto all of your bad traits are over. Relent on something, or lose your condo. You know you need to, your tips jar proves it.

God It's so funny watching him play a game made before 2010. This Blinx the cat gameplay, jesus.
*Squints at the screen* I don't know WHATS going on. I have no idea.
*Energetic upbeat sonic music* NO I DIDNT WANT TO DO THAT. AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.
*Energetic upbeat sonic music starts up again* Guys I don't know WHATS going on here. So strange. YOU all wanted me to play this. Not me.
*Energetic upbeat sonic music starts up again* Okay King Vanity you can get the fuck out and stop derailing the stream, I swear to god man I will pause this game and ban your ass myself if you don't shut the fuck up.

The juxtaposition of the happy upbeat game made in 2002 combined with the drab atmosphere and pessimism that is Phil's streaming room and attitude is just hilarious.

Because he was playing SF from like late nineties up until 2007 he completely missed that portion of gaming. So whenever he plays a game from then he is awful

you need to clear each level on easy before you get to play it again on normal
Not true. You just have to meet a certain threshold of Power (character level + average power level of your items). It's about 100 I think. Means you can play Veteran on Level 5/6+items. Can't remember the exact number or the estimated level for that matter. And you want to change to Veteran, the second difficulty, as fast as possible or you will be stuck with shit-tier loot. More Power means more defense, more damage, you can stagger enemies easier etc.

Maybe you are confusing it with achievements you get for completing "all maps cleared on veteran with class x"

That said, easy can still fuck you up. With the base classes, even on easy it's going to be a struggle to get through the levels alone.
You just need to learn how to block and maybe basic combos at this level, watching your stamina consumption. The only issue is your low Power - you will be weak by default at the beginning. Thankfully the enemies die fast, too.

The game pretty much requires someone to play a tank, and you want to be the one playing as the tank if you're playing with AIs since the AIs tanking is horrible.
The AI is terrible but you can solo any map on any difficulty theoretically, except maybe the over-the-top modded difficulties with tons of waves and special monsters/bosses. You don't have to play the tank. There are classes though that are more viable for challenging runs, either solo or in a group. I loved playing tank.

The rest you wrote was accurate I think. Yes, I can't wait for him to fuck it up.

That was it, it's been a while since I played VT2, forgot it was power level that determined it, not completion. You might be able to solo it, but I'm bad at games so I doubt I can solo anything above veteran! Thanks for the corrections though, I might have to round up my buddies and play VT2 again, its got so many layers that I hope to watch Phil fuck up.

I may have fucked up my cow lore. I could have sworn that it was DSP who said at the beginning of last year that he could do Warhammer videos, walking into the stores and talking about the figures etc. But I just suddenly remembered another cow I completely forgot about because he's so mundane, Matt. I think it was actually him who wanted to do that. My apologies.

Though to be fair, both are equally as boring.

I thought this is what you were going to show:

EDIT: Also, while looking for this clip, I sloppily input "darksydephil art" into Google. Take a look at Phil's 12+ year legacy, artistically enshrined for posterity:

I love these kind of rants and bullshit analogies, because they're so dumb that it's hard to logically explain how they are wrong. For a normal person of average IQ, it is self-evident. But just like when a toddler asks you a completely valid question about something you always took for granted, you have to think about how to structure your argument and question your assumption.

To argue with DSP, you basically have to lower yourself to his IQ and think of an explanation you would give a toddler.

Do not remember this but would love to see him sperg about the money it costs when he goes straight to a gw story and not a third party. You know he would go straight to gw to but it and not the third party for the exact same kit, box and all.

So Dave needs to treat the game like he treats his streams...?

At least he's looking in the right direction. Why the fuck is he staring at the side of the screen? Perspective. You're supposed to be looking at the game. Put in half a gram of effort. A grain of rice of effort. Any effort...

The thing that should that not surprise me but still does is how he can continue to find ways to be a massive cunt. He can't just play and enjoy Blinx. He has to shit on it because he does not get it. It's completely beyond me.
I would attribute this to not liking video games, but Phil does this at so many other times that it's undeniable: he just can't stop talking shit. He insults people who beat him, or make fun of him, but it's not like the rest of the time, he is chill and nice like James Rolfe, or Max Dood. He still hurls insults, there just isn't so much venom behind them.

With this behavior going back as far as his days spent on the Shoryuken forums, I have no doubt that little Phillip had a lot of problems keeping friends with the neighbor kids. I'll bet he got himself barred from visiting anybody's house because he would go over there, play Street Fighter, and shit on his opponents.

Deep inferiority complex. It just oozes out in vids from his early days.

Indeed it does, and what's more disturbing is that like I said, no one needs to show him up at all. He so fails to relate that just seeing somebody pick a certain character is enough to get him going. Becoming a hermit didn't make him what he is, it just made it worse. He has clearly always had issues getting out of his own tiny world that he's the center of.

All of us have things we don't care for, and things we really think are shit. But for Phil, nothing is off limits from his shit-talking. He cannot get excited for other people's excitement. He cannot distinguish from "this is made for a different demographic" and "this is dog shit". And even when he kind of does, like when he quit the DLC for Bloodbourne, that was still after a ton of ranting about the developer being stupid assholes.

I don't know what's worse, Hermit Phil, or Young Phil, who hadn't been through some shit being an embarrassment on the internet for ten years, but still acted like a turd. Just without so much grouchiness.

I noticed that about Dave, he always has to appear the subject of authority on topics that pertaine to towards him. For example, remember how he boasted about being a "bodybuilder" when people were talking about fitness? He just FELT the need to interject with a lie. He could have just said "I worked out and there, I really liked to do bench press" but no he had to go "I was jacked as shit, a gymrat 24/7 my dad was a bodybuilder. I had the creatine and protein shakes"

Meanwhile he looked like this apparently working out through his ENTIRE college career

Meanwhile pewds who worked out for like less than a year looked like this...

No snark this is entirely his parent's fault. DSP is the poster-child for how damaging it is to a child for helicopter parents never letting them fail at anything at home, constantly blowing smoke about how special and unique they are only to get kicked in the nuts by reality every time they leave the house. This is the result and its become an epidemic.

Uh...........

Edit: And predictably follows-up by the double down 🤣
