Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

The truth of the matter is that this was a Congressional failure. If they wanted to extent the moratorium, they needed to pass a law that extended it. The executive branch and the CDC are both massively overstepping their authority to try to make up for a lack of Democratic cohesion and capability, and it's not a stretch to say that this can't end well.

Congress didn‘t extend it because there isn‘t enough support to. Even dem Congress critters are fed up and saying enough is enough get a fucking job already and pay your bills.

This is going to be pretty wild. Unless they roll it into the infrastructure bill or something like that, I can't see it getting past the House by itself, let alone through the Senate. So you have all that money that they owe that hasn't gone down at all, but instead is looming ever larger, and then you have the very real possibility that some jobs just aren't going to come back. The inability of Democrats to set and stick to a course of action is not going to lead to any of this being fixed in a reasonable timeframe. I'm growing steadily more worried about what we're going to start seeing in a month or two.

It's hilarious to me that as much shit as they gave Trump for being a bitter catty bitch sometimes, they try to imitate him with every breath they take and embody that form of snark, and they utterly fail every time. It came breathlessly and easily for Trump, it was organic and natural trolling that was off the cuff and improvised on the spot. Biden's imitation is just as soft as his mushy brain.
