She didn't have any real way to coerce him into doing it. talking to someone online isn't the same as holding a gun to someone's head while standing outside a bank and telling them to go in and rob it or else they'll pull the trigger. it's not gonna get Chris out of anything when he proved mens rea himself by being vague in the null conversation. he knew what he was doing was wrong and still did it numerous times anyway.

I honestly think that some elements of her stories like her mom calling the cops are exaggerated just for attention. Her mom probably got really pissed, then the story evolved to her mom threatening to call the cops, then again to her mom actually calling the cops.
