I'm pretty sure Byuu's projects were just moved to teams (I have no idea if this is the correct terminology because I don't use Github) like here's BSNES and here is Higan. The commit history seems to be there for both Higan (archive) and possibly BSNES (archive) - I can't be bothered to scroll back. I'm generally interested in seeing if anyone who uses the Github has a similar writing style to Byuu as he doesn't really seem to be the one to quit a project.
It's quite disingenuous to act like the Kiwifarms is the only source that led Byuu to supposed "suicide", you aren't taking a step back and realizing the bigger picture that this is a consequence of something like social media and being a shut in. Byuu spent over a decade and a half writing emulators, during this time he probably didn't have much social interaction and that probably became more true when he grew out his hair and started taking Estrogen in order to "make the pain fade away". It's quite obvious he was pushed into this idea that becoming trans will make his life better, this is especially the case when you realize that there's a cross between the "LGBT" and programming as it's a activity that you need to invest years into to get good at, years that the average Joe won't have due to other factors like jobs.
Chris Chan doesn't scour the internet for any criticism about his name and change his name whenever there is opportunity because people are making fun of him. Byuu probably thought that the Kiwifarms thread was the reason that he doesn't have much of a social life outside of the internet.
He probably did have a look, saw 90 pages and didn't look any further into it probably to feign ignorance if something were to come out and Byuu were to somehow magically be alive.
Hopefully I didn't go a ramble, but eh who cares.

Nah, that's not how it works.
The new developers 'forked' the Ares repository, which means both existed in parallel (this keeps the commit history). They didn't have access to Nears one (under the account 'ares-dev'), which means either Near or Microsoft/GitHub deleted the repo.
His other projects (bsnes and higan) have been in the control of others for quite awhile, whereas the ares one hasn't been.

I never got what was so good about LTT. Occasionally there will be an interesting video, but for the most part, it struck me as an average channel at best. Gamer's Nexus is a much better channel overall, IMO.

Any video with Anthony was guaranteed to be good. Though, after he made a fool of himself, I am starting to doubt him. Like, it's just amazing, in a bad way, how someone from LTT that probably had most legitimate respect of everybody else from the team suddenly just went full retard MATI powerlevel mode. Like, yeah, I was quite shocked and upset when I heard Byuu allegedly commited suicide, but I didn't sperg out in full MATI mode on Twitter, Instagram, FB or even on this forum. I did talk about it and commented about it in private with my friends, and even then I was just trying to figure out what the hell actually happened. But weeks later I went from upset to like "What the fuck is even going on here, this is just a trashfire!". And let's all remember that Byuu was involved in all that drama way before he got a thread on Kiwifarms, and those who harassed him in Kiwifarms name were probably some no life faggots even more cringe than Byuu who just read some rationalwiki page about Kiwifarms and probably never set foot on the site. And just LARPed as some Kiwifarms member.

Null's status update is interesting. So the attacks on the site are apparently still coming from the Byuu situation and are not related to Chris-chan. It's very autistic to be doing this for a whole month. Almost as autistic as, say, dedicating your life to video game emulation.
There is no way Byuu, Hector, and their friends are not directly involved in these DDoS attacks. They're the only ones who still give a shit (especially Hector), while the rest of twitter has already moved on. How pathetic.
