You Know What Grinds My Gears? - Things that personally piss you off

When people seem intent on harming themselves due to lack of common sense. Relative of mine is a boomer, but not elderly.
Boomers are all the same. They were taught to hide under desks at school in case the Reds dropped the bomb. None of them expected to live this long and it shows.

People who walk around in public playing music on their smartphones loud enough for everyone else to hear, too. It drives me batshit. What is it with these fucking people? Do they need their own theme song wherever they go?

Edit: something I forgot to mention-when stores start putting out Halloween candy nearly three fucking months before Halloween. I saw a massive display today in a supermarket. And I saw pumpkin spice coffee out, too. Again-we're still in the middle of summer. And pumpkin spice anything tastes like ass. It's gross. But it makes money because women love to buy it.

What's worse is people who carry around boomboxes. On the train, no less.

It's always a black guy over the age of 60. You never see an old person walking around with earbuds. It's clear that they just hate new technology.

Blu Rays that keep freezing even at one moment no matter how much you clean them. I thought that was a problem that went away with DVDs? I've cleaned and rest my player a thousand times and yet my Blu ray if Halloween 2 freeze for like ten seconds at one spot.

(And yes ik go digital or sail the high seas and all that) I just like to own a physical copy of my favorite horror movies call me old fashioned but I'm an old fag I. That way.
You only own something if it's physical.

First, when people in an an online group can't be assed to use the search post function or read recent posts to see if their question's already been answered. For context, there's a minor disease that's common around here in chickens with all the rain we've been getting. Daily, someone asks "what's wrong with my chicken?", and daily it gets answered multiple times. Yet people still keep asking.
Taken to its extreme, that is certainly annoying.

Back in the day when BBS were still popular, I'd go on a forum devoted to creative writing. One particular moderator, if ANYONE asked a question, would constantly lock the thread and say 'please use the search function, this has been asked before.' Which is fine, assuming the question was asked recently.

But this faggot would close threads, but not before linking a literally 7 year old thread with outdated information as your 'answer.' Didn't matter if new information was available/opinions had changed. Nope. It had already been asked, so that was it.

Thread tax:

What has recently given me cancer? People, usually women, doing that stupid American nigger shit of holding their phone below their chin when on a call. It absolutely fucking infuriates me.

Kind of parallel to this one - When people play their music loudly from cars with absolute dogshit speakers, blasting bass. Especially since the music is usually repetitive garbage. You can hear that shit across the intersection even with all the windows up.

It baffles me whenever I’m in a group and someone answers the phone and they don’t step aside. It’s the most basic courtesy you can afford to both the people you’re with and the person you’re talking to.

There is an asshole here, never seen him post in this thread, nor give me attention in particular, never exchanged words, so I’m confident this won’t be passive aggressive BS.

Joined around when I did, a year or so ago, give or take a few months.

He is aggressively stalking anyone who joined in 2021, not just this weekend, (even total newfags don’t deserve his MATI-posting.) calling them names. It’s not funny, good natured, trolling. Or even slightly mean or smart trolling. It’s going out of his way to get back at newfags who rated him in a way he didn’t like. Or said something in a thread. Or I don’t even know because I’ve never seen anything like it. So mati, never seen anyone more mati.

Easily the biggest try-hard seen on this site. It’s pathetic. Hope I forget his username or he changes it. It would be poetic if it was force changed to NewFag, but, this isn’t my wish fulfillment post. Just a little something that’s pissing me off, tonight. Def time to alog-out.

The media's laughably overwrought and clumsy fearmongering. Their desperation is palpable.

Kiwifarms... Or more accurately the fact that I keep visiting for entertainment or some bullshit reason. Also, the fact that I have an account is super irritating. To make matters worse, I keep coming back believing I have meaningful insight, my thoughts/opinions are unique, and I should share them. So I even end up commenting on threads. That part pisses me off the most.

Wow. Fascinating. So insightful.

Google's webp images.

They're everywhere and they're fucking shit.

Like for real, your computer doesn't support them and you need Google's gay software to display them, softwares rarely support them (because of that each time I want to keep an image in my PC to use for a project or whatnot I need to convert them to png) and my favourite part of it all is websites don't always properly support them either.
Kiwi Farms doesn't support them, so when I upload a webp image it fucks shit up and can't display at all and not even Google's own image search feature support them:
webpcancer.PNG

If you want an example for Kiwi Farms, tell me whether that displays properly or not.

I'm also pretty sure this is true for several major sites like Instagram, DeviantArt and Imgur which are image hosting sites.
In a way, it's ironic they don't even work correctly on those websites because this retarded format was made specifically for websites to lower the space images normally take, so browsers could load them a lot more quickly.

That seriously made me wish websites would start using gifs again. Atleast they work as intended and are the most universally supported image format.

On an aside, there are a minority of turd wranglers who blindly support this format although it negatively affects many people worldwide, me included.

When I head down the stairs from my apartment to the front porch and some asshole (who doesn't live there) is sitting right in the middle of the steps (it's narrow, not much more than a doorway), waiting to get inside because the security door automatically locks when it shuts. Yesterday some vagrant made no effort to move, so as I stepped around him, I quite deliberately kicked over the full beer can he had next to him. When he began to protest, I turned around and just glared at him. He shut up.

Jaywalkers who cross the street, not at a crosswalk, but right in the middle of the road, just as you're driving through. Absolutely ridiculous how close they get to you.

I'm not an expert in law, but is it not legally your fault if a jaywalker walks out of nowhere and you accidentally hit them? I personally have no idea.
