Yeah, shit like this makes my eyes roll. They're so easy to offend, I even start doubting the veracity of hamster boiling. Legitimate crimes need to be investigated.

We all have known the story since we were 2 about the boy who cried wolf. Hey, college Campus queers, do the world a favor will you? Stop crying wolf. Nobody gives a shit about racist jokes or homophobia. It makes people tune out and even disbelief what may be legitimate abuses.

yea, it was def 2019, she said it multiple times elsewhere. and my theory always was she attended with a friend or family member an didn't compete, or she was dog shit at a kids toy

I'm very tired, I worked an 11 hour day prior to reading the thread (being salaried is no fun, kids), and I'm sorry if somewhere I missed someone say what I'm about to. I've seen many of you mention that animal cruelty isn't high priority and isn't usually investigated in a timely manner, and that's unfortunately true in most jurisdictions. However, I thought I recalled that Goober was adopted from a shelter, and if that's the case, many animal shelters have clauses in the adoption contract that say if an adoptive person can no longer keep the animal OR if the animal is found to be neglected or abused, the animal must be returned to the shelter. If anyone knows or can find out where Goober was adopted, that shelter would be a great place to start to try to get him removed from them and adopted out to a forever home that will actually love and protect him - most shelters take this sort of thing very seriously and act quickly.

Thankfully we know Max, our good boy dox puppy, is safe. But I can't get the thought of that poor little hamster out of my mind.

I'm going to go hug my cat and my kid and my husband, possibly all at once, and then go have a drink and try to forget this horror for a few hours.
