My friend is in her Algebra for Autists class and sees her drawing pictures of rather young looking children in various sexual situations. She cosplayed for Halloween last year as Adolf Hitler and would throw an EZ bake oven at the Jewish members of our University while screaming about “holocoasters” and about “masturbation machines”. I didn’t know what she was referring to but I guess it’s a terrible form of torture that the Nazis used on God’s chosen people. She walks around with a large brown streak on the back of her pants constantly and you can find her arm elbow deep scratching around down there. When walking to class you can see her comically hidden behind pillars with her head sticking out rambling about some “Jewish Question”. We all pretend she’s hiding but she just stands behind flag poles and street signs. She’s quite peculiar indeed.

In this context, damage control for rich people is making a generous donation to the university so they can build a new wing on the library. That's probably how all the Title IX stuff went away, and why she just got evicted from dorms (and moved into off campus apartments) after it was revealed she'd been hiding cameras in her dorm to spy on dorm mates and steal shit off them - rather than being expelled.

You can’t buy your way out of a real Title IX investigation, and her parents don’t have that kind of money. If they did, she wouldn’t be at a second-tier public university in Texas.

She got kicked out of the dorms, or the student housing she was in, but was given a chance to go to another unit. It was probably not much more expensive to just move into the luxury apartments near campus. It was probably treated as a typical roommate dispute.

It seems like the Title IX thing stalled because a) the proof of the harassment likely wasn’t very good, b) Texas Tech almost certainly was unable to invest in the forensic aspect of the investigation before the server was nuked (and probably never sent Discord an order asking if backup copies existed), c) the student who filed the complaint moved, and d) in the pantheon of stuff to focus on in a school year when you are dealing with Covid and much more serious Title IX complaints (like sexual assault), people being mean online isn’t going to be the top priority. That said, I would be shocked if the investigation wasn't technically still open and the fact that she lied to investigators is enough to get her expelled, provided they can prove the logs are hers.
