I barely follow Chris, but the impression I'm getting from reading up on him is he'll NEVER grasp that he's fucked, not even when he starts having autistic breakdowns and it doesn't get him what he wants. I'm guessing he'll start having some tard rage chimpouts in the next week or two, definitely before his trial in 5 weeks. Who knows what'll happen at that trial, especially if he realizes the judge isn't letting him go home in September.

And this is before we consider next week or the week after will involve the Grand Jury and the "additional pending charges" being filed. And the obvious choices (elder abuse, rape, sexual assault, sexual battery, etc) are all pretty serious charges.

I think it’s illegal to record someone conversation from jail. I know Virginia is a one party consent state but I don’t know if they can record him.

The worst thing that can happen for him is for it to go to trial. His lawyer has to know that. The problem is that Chris is so delusional that trying to get him into a plea deal might not be that easy. He's going to want to tell the world that he's innocent and it wasn't him, or there's this merge, or Barb wanted it, or... and his lawyer is going to know that while the jury will realize that his client is batshit crazy, they'll also see him as guilty. This is one of the few cases where I feel bad for the attorney of a guilty party. There is no way to win, but they have a job to do. No one has made Chris behave in his life and it's not like some stranger is going to be able to now. The best thing that could happen was his lawyer to possibly ask for a psychiatric evaluation in the hopes that they will put him on some medication that might at least make him semi catatonic enough to force a plea deal on him to put him in solitary so he'll at least survive whatever sentence he gets. Because, let's face it, Chris will piss off people if he's not kept in solitary because he's too delusional not to and has no sense of self preservation.
