This is kind of the scary part to me, though I applaud Tennessee for making it an issue. The administration and CDC have no legitimacy, and this is without anyone relitigating the election in full. They have lost all legitimacy just from the sheer dictatorial pose of the bureaucrats, from their own actions. School districts, small towns, businesses all went along at first but slowly looked around eventually last year and decided to reopen because they saw how bad the side effects were, not just on the economy but on the people. So these people who finally said "to hell with this" asserted power that no one else wanted to seize because of cowardice and not wanting to be the person stuck with the blame. The red states made a decision and stuck with it, and they are not going to just bend the knee again without daring the administration to fight back. Every time someone issues a mandate, the first question is not, "How long?" It's "OR WHAT?"
Scary times. I could see a legit constitutional crisis arising from this.
