It delights me to no end that these idiots consistently rally behind the worst possible people to hold up as the heroes of their pet causes. Whining about "misgendering" disgusting people like Chris and Jonathan Yaniv is just so astonishingly tone-deaf I still can't quite convince myself they're not doing it on purpose to derail the troon fad.

It's hypocritical too. The argument goes "you shouldn't misgender anybody no matter who they are." That's all well and good. Very noble of them to defend the worst of the worst to prove their point. But they're just borrowing an argument that free speech advocates often make: free speech is worthless unless you stand up to defend speech you viciously hate. The trouble is, these are the kind of people who mock that argument and refute it constantly by whining "b-b-but muh nahtzees!"

Exactly right. If Barb was taken for a wellness check and she said something like, "that never happened, Chris and I never had sex. There are people online who harass him because he's famous on the internet" then I doubt Chris would have been arrested. I could see basically three possibilities.

1. Barb admitted to the incest and said it was consensual - bad for Chris. Seems unlikely because Barb wasn't charged, so the state sees her as the victim here.
2. Barb admitted to the incest and said it wasn't consensual - monumentally bad for Chris.
3. Barb was totally incompetent (unlikely, but I guess it's a possibility) - also monumentally bad for Chris.

If it was all a fake - or just Chris bullshitting - like some people in here think it might be, it wouldn't have gotten this far.

We will probably know more next week. My bet is that we will see rape charges.

It makes sense why Chris thought he could negotiate and set terms with the judge, he’s never actually faced consequences to his behavior before. It’s not his world view being shattered but it’s the first hard “no” he’s received.

Yes, the defendant has the last word as to whether or not to either take a plea bargain or proceed to trial.

Likely. Frankly Chris' only claim to 'high-functioning' is that he's not a non-verbal vegetable, which is a bar so low even Hermes Conrad would struggle to go under it.

I hate this shit. I hate the fact someone stole the license plates. I hate that there are serious discussions going on amongst weens as to whether or not to burglarize the house. I hate that vultures are flying overhead, picking over Barb's proverbial corpse.

This is going to make a bad situation even more ugly, for completely pointless and unjustifiable reasons.
