I actually don't know. I'm not knowledgeable enough in that area to speculate much without sounding extremely autistic; I always just assumed that these kinds of privileges weren't things you could get in any prison, really. Either way, Chris shouldn't be allowed Internet access, and I feel like house arrest is too lax for the crime he committed, whether he's severely autistic or not.
I have a thought and it might be dumb, that there's a low chance some jail staff would sneak phones in there and start secretly giving them out to random prisoners, Chris included. When he gets it, he'll probably just continue to write "magical girl" nonsense on Twitter.

Not all autism is the same, but it seems like one of the features of Chris's autism was the emphasis he put on things. Usually people like things, but the focus of our lives is other people. Yeah, your goals in life can be a lambo, but you still spend a huge portion of your life having thoughts and feelings about other people. If you watch little kids play, one of the stages of development is how they interact with other kids. At first the play alongside each other with toys (if you've ever seen a child start crying because another yoinked their toy). At some point their play starts to involve each other as much as it does the toys. Chris never hit that stage. The rest of his brain kept developing as normally as it could. It left him with the feelings almost everyone has for their mothers and his toys. Other people don't really matter to Chris other than they can give and take toys (like little kids can).
I don't hate him. It's fucking disgusting what happened, Chris made a choice to do something he knew other people wouldn't like (otherwise he would have just said what happened with barb).He needs supervision. But the autsim really mitigates the absolute hate I'd otherwise have for him.
