1. Didn't someone mention onion links? They could have both. I've argued about TOR+VPN before and the short end (without inciting too many arguments) is that you could hide your TOR usage from your ISP. Her collage might have a root certificate to get around that though. Could be worth telling them what a student is doing with THEIR network.

Her full computer and TOR use bothers me too. Since she doesn't use TOR to brag about killing hamsters or for harassing people what does she do that she DOES need encryption for? The space use is perplexing as that would be a whole lot of stuff...usually. But you know what does take up a lot of space? Unencoded videos, like videos of webcam activity or even IRL cams. We know videoing people without consent and extorting Christine are things she's done, maybe she has more activities and un-related victims too. Also, other CP enthusiast tech like freenet can take up a massive amount of your HDD. I can't remember where the pics of her desktop are in this thread but I'd like to take a look again. Anyways, this is just speculation, but there's something there.

Always go into this kinda thing assuming they are 100% lying with every breath they take and then work backwards to syphon out what information is true.
It doesn't matter if they're genuine or not, don't view them as actual human beings, just entities with the ability to garner information from. What they think, feel, prefer about a matter is not germane to whatever it is you're attempting to ascertain.

It's not about being cold, it's just that narratives and facts can be easily obfuscated by the "chaos" of the situation. People will naturally default to convincing others when they feel they're on the back foot. Intentionally or unintentionally, people default to manipulation as a natural state of being in that circumstance.
