I'd be interested to see exactly what happened that caused the incident at his first elementary school that resulted in the Chandlers moving and Bob trying to sue the school system. Restraint on students (even in those days, I think) wasn't done lightly. The only time it's ever suppose to be done is when the student poses a serious threat of harming themself or others. Nowadays, you have to be specially trained in restraint and not just anyone can do it. We've heard Chris' side of that story, but it'd be interesting to know what exactly happened. If the school recommended the special school in Winchester, it's most likely because Chris was either incapable intellectually of earning a high school diploma or posed such behavioral issues that he needed to be in a special school. I tend to lean towards the latter, even just given his past incidents in Wal-Marts, malls and of course, at the GamePlace.

Chris should become the poster child/teen/adult for "This Could Be Your Child" for parents who are on the fence about getting their kid Special Education services. The sooner you get interventions for your child, the better off they'll be in life.

Now what he could do is try and convince the Judge to place a gag order on the proceedings, seal the file, and close them to public and media so that no info comes out until everything is resolved and the case finished. But good luck with that, it's pretty damn difficult to do, and since he himself released a media statement I don't think he's thinking that way/interested in even trying.

You can't enjoin the world. Such a gag order would only be binding on people with some obligation to obey it, a limited class of people. So if even one of those people disregarded the order, nobody else would be under any obligation not to talk about what they revealed. The only person who could be punished would be the actual leaking party.

I also believe from the actual press releases by the Sheriff's Office and the appointment of an apparently actually competent lawyer that this case is being taken seriously and they want to ensure at least the appearance of justice. A mistrial or an obviously incompetent defense would be a huge embarrassment.
