The issue is that the prescribe them to everyone without much question. The reality is: people who actually legit have real ADD or ADHD, which is a much lower number of people than anyone might believe or that the statistics likely show, benefit from them. Because it calms them down for real and lets them focus. If you take a hyperactive or excited kid and stand them beside a kid who actually had real ADD, you will absolutely know which one is which. Only one of them needs meds though. For people who *dont* have ADD, those drugs are the equivalent of low grade meth.

Yeah, I got it from my friends and then my roommate who were definitely not ADD or ADHD. It is incredibly easy to lie about it to the doctors and play up being a spaz in order to get a script for them if you wanted to. They sell for a decent amount of money and if you have insurance its basically just free money you get every month on the refill.
And yes, for normal people it is literally low grade meth that has been accepted by society as "normal" to take/abuse. Vyvanse didn't fuck with me as much because the dosage was smaller and the effects were more spread out, but adderall was fucking awful. I took it one time when I had to pound out a 10 page paper in less than a day and it made me realize how awful those substances are.
Adderall made me extremely jittery and hyperfocused on whatever my brain thought was important at the time. I was sweating like I ran a marathon while I was on it, and was incredibly paranoid I was going to get arrested by the cops for taking it even though I never left my dorm room. After that paper I never took it again, but I still had cravings for more for around a month afterwards.

The point I was trying to make initially was that if she has any personality disorder, it's likely ASPD, not BPD. BPD just doesn't fit at all from anything we've seen.

Moving to a non-European-speaking country under a generic name can work wonders. If she changes her name legally to "Mary Smith", then moves to Thailand or something, she could make a good life for herself, provided she can resist building an online presence again that can be connected back to her. She could be given an allowance by her dad that gives her a good support base to try to build some sort of future.

It's a lot harder to disappear in the US since you're followed by your social security number, credit reporting agencies, etc. Some autist somewhere will have the access to find her again if needed even if she changes her name. If she wants to start over in the US she'll have to have to first change her name legally, then apply for a new social security number, and start over from a new address not connected with herself and her family almost immediately. This is possible to do to, but much more of a pain in the ass. You also have to be prepared to not visit major cities, ESPECIALLY not ones near where you used to live, and also be prepared to change your appearance and voice and have acting skills that convince others you may know that you are not the same person.

There are over 300 million people in the US but you can still run into people you know on the opposite side of the country if you're in a popular destination. I've seen it happen real time. Most surreal experience was seeing it happen twice in one day. If you want to go off the grid it's so much work that it really puts a crimp on any future life goals.
