They've already been convinced by social media that they're teetering on the edge of the next genocide, and that the only people holding back the redneck murder tide are folks like Newsom and the Biden administration. Of course they'd vote for a complete fuckup if the alternative they've been made to believe is even worse.
This isn't even an active Psyop or anything, this is just the left grasping for internal consistency. They aren't so blind as to not realize that their people are shit, so they have to justify their actions by concluding that the other people are even *more* shit and obviously preventing their guy from succeeding. The alternative is that they're keeping a corrupt oligarchy in power with their ignorance, and the #resist people can't accept that reality no matter how much truth it bears. The rights not immune to it either, but they did just have a relatively successful president in who was very clearly actively opposed, so they're not doing much coping to justify him as good, just grasping to explain the defeat.

I guess Trump's line of "I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot someone without losing voters" was true. Not necessarily because Trump said it, but his point is proven right. Biden literally said that if Black people had trouble figuring out whether to be for him or Trump, "then you ain't Black." Guess what, Biden's Black turnout was enormous.

Months ago I saw a truck with "DON'T COMPLAIN ABOUT GRAS PRICES IF YOU VOTED BLUE" written on it with blue glass paint which I A. found amazing and B. was somewhat surprised because it was driving near my college campus.

I find it fascinating that it is all women who showed up with signs to defend him against these charges (That guy there seems like press or staff, can't tell, but doesn't have indignant protestor energy and is avoiding being in frame). Especially when his response to the accusations was summarized as "They're overreacting, look at this slideshow! I molest everyone I encounter, so what's the big deal?"
