Straight guy who has never been in jail question (autism alert?):
Do fat ugly older guys get raped -- in anything other than a "welcome to jail we hate you weirdo" kind of sense--or turned into sex slaves in prison? I had a bartender once many years back who was contemplating a possible short stint (who had done time a couple of times prior) tell me he was too old to have to worry about that sort of thing they went after the younger guys. And I mean even the horniest of gay guys isn't going to fuck just anything right?
Does a long prison term REALLY make CChan look sexy, or is this a case when (probably contrary to the usual feminist prattle) rape actually IS about power not sex?
There are a lot of ex-cons on YouTube like AfterPrisonShow and Larry Lawton who've talked about this subject in extensive detail. The long and the short of it is:
it depends on what prison you get sent to.
High-security (along with maximum and supermax) prisons are where most of these stereotypes and urban legends come from. Basically, if you're sentenced to life and you're in a high-security (or upward) prison, no one's gonna give a shit if you get a violation or another charge. What else can they do to you? You're in there for life. Might as well kill a motherfucker, shank him, rape him, or whatever. You're already a hardened criminal left to rot in a box for the rest of your life, nothing can stop you.
The nature of Chris's offense is morally reprehensible and extremely disgusting. Most seasoned prison inmates in high-security (or upward) prisons would jump at the chance to play Kick the Autistic IRL. However, Chris did
not commit any violent offense that would warrant him being sent to a high or even a medium-security prison. He's an autistic manchild who's so fucking incompetent that the only danger he poses is to himself.
In the case of sex offenders and how they get sentenced, it's all based on the nature of the crime that they committed. A lot of paedophiles and rapists often end up in low-to-medium security prisons and there are a
lot of rules in place to protect SOs from other inmates, right down to being placed in Specialised Housing Units (i.e. solitary) to avoid as much unnecessary contact with the other inmates.
If an inmate in a low-to-medium security prison
does commit a "crime" against an SO in prison, the penalties are often extremely severe. Films like Oz were true once upon a time, but that's no longer the case.
Fun fact: if Chris serves the longest possible time in prison (i.e. 10 years), there's a high chance that he'll end up in civil commitment after his prison term is over. Basically, he'll have to prove to a committee that he's not liable to commit another sex crime. Considering how extensive Chris's history is? That's a long shot. It's most likely gonna be a life sentence for Chris one way or the other.
