Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

It's government overreach with the classic clusterfuck we expect.
It's their own damn fault anyway. Considering they've stand by letting states defund their own police, this is just their way of putting a band-aid over the entire issue by letting robots do the policing instead.

Funny that they're going to be passing a multi trillion dollar infrastructure bill that will tack another quarter trillion dollars onto the national debt before they've even unfucked the debt ceiling situation. Keynesian economics are going to be the fucking death of us all.

This is going to be very common. I’d be extremely worried to be a landlord renting cheap places to shitty tenants. A lot of houses and apartments are going to suddenly catch on fire for some reason after evictions are allowed again.
There's a feral old nigger where I live that will absolutely go ape shit and have to be put down if he gets evicted. Dude's like 60 and runs around calling everyone a bitch ass nigga and trying to fight them like it's still the 1970s.

CBO reported that the infrastructure bill would only increased the debt by $256.1 billion over the next ten years. Because at minimum, half of the infrastructure bill is going to be paid with unspent pandemic funds. What is left is going to be paid through some tax increases and spending cuts.

There's no doubt that the bill has more pork in it than at a bacon convention but it is addressing critical infrastructure problems like lead pipes and I'm sure the price tag is less than the expenses to deal with a bunch of Flint, MIs.

Did you read my post? That's what I said, a quarter of a trillion dollars, or about 1 year of interest payments on the national debt.

Lmao at the government cutting spending. That's what our government exists to do now, prop up an economic system that's been completely unmoored from reality since the early 2000's, through never ending deficit spending that's getting less and less effective every time they open the easy money floodgates. Countries all over are starting to catch on, japan just recently cut a good chunk of US debt out of their pension program and others are likely preparing to follow suit.

I don't think this 100% goes here, but I don't see a better thread (or am too lazy too.)

Tim Scott is currently trending on Twitter right now because I guess he's putting together a bid to run for President in 2024 or something. It's amazing just watching Twitter, the bastion of fighting for racial equality, just straight up call him an Uncle Tom and a house nigger and laugh that those damn racist Republicans would never elect a black man. They genuinely believe that Republicans want to make it illegal for black people to vote.

I just glazed over the quarter part and just saw the trillion, my bad.

Though that phrase "economic system unmoored from reality since the early 2000s", I neve got what that meant. Is that referring to the perpetual bailouts of "too big to fail" companies or something else?

I misread that as Tom Scott and was trying to work out how he'd run for president while still making videos where he introduces himself in strange and interesting places.

I think it's more about how we've really gone ham on deficit spending since 2000, to the point that our debt far exceeds our GDP. The US National Debt clock provides an excellent visualization of it.
