Which vtuber would have the guts to watch Perfect Blue on stream?

MY OSHI IS GETTING GANGSTALKED AND LOSING A GRIP ON REALITY LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I doubt any would, if I remember correctly the licensing situation for that movie is fucked in the west anyway.
Though I would be morbidly interested in Kiara watching it, though I don't think that'd turn out well.
Genuinely quite a thought provoking movie. I watched it many years ago before vtubers was a thing and idol culture was still sort of a big ish thing.

I'd possibly say if no one else has seen "Perfect Blue" and wanted to, now would be the best time as you could apply it to ya vtuber oshi now and really fuck you a little bit extra as you could relate to it more so now than ever before.
I'd add the first few chapters of Oshi no Ko to that, the manga as a whole is great but up a certain obvious point it feels very Perfect Blue

now whos idea do you think it was (kiara and her damn thirst)?
It was definitely Kiara's. I remember months ago, she was saying how she wanted to read a yuri manga with Calliope for a stream (Calliope had already done her manga read-along stream), and she asked Marine if she could recommend her something. Marine only had echhi stuff to recommend, though.

Anyone knows what's going on with Terumi and Amber Glow?
The little I understood is that it seems like a drama with doxxing, sharing private conversations, a stream where she talked about black companies, and lot of hate for the OL who some accuse of being a manipulative bitch.

Anyway, kson built her 2nd gundam yesterday. It appears she found a new hobby.
And today she'll play that goddamn fucking game everyone's playing, Henry Stickmin.
A few info from her last streams:
  • she has a manager (a woman), that she really likes and makes her schedule and also rented her a warehouse before telling her, because she knew kson would need it.
  • she said she likes women more than men
  • this will probably the last time I write it since I don't care that much about numbers: on Saturday I wrote she arrived at 770k subs during her stream. Today she's at 783k. She's still growing.
If /vt/ is to be believed, Terumi was a whistleblower (?) or at least someone who threatened to spill the tea on Cyberlive (if you remember the new Vtuber group that had Donation Goals like $200 for a special date with a talent).

Despite being a new company, Cyberlive seems to have their fair share of drama

The dynamic between Calli and Kiara is probably very different behind the scene, being "normal" friends, the Yuri baiting is just for the viewers and art. Granted it will be interesting to see what their interactions are like, recently Kiara hasn't really been leaning into the Takamori ship, so either they're winding it down, or just spacing it out more.

Also: It's a good idea to have the Holostars running things back to back like these outfit reveals, gives them an audience that can't switch onto the next stream.
Also also: Oga's new outfit is a barista. Which can convert into a spiffing suit.

Kiara expressed irritation with the "bottom left" joke recently (and then Haachama had her reviewing lewd memes right after, which I thought was funny). I thought maybe she was doing less takamori thirst-posting to get away from the bottom left thing. It'll be interesting to see if she plays up the thirst as usual during the manga read or if she tries something different.

Yuribait readalong
And then Kiara will be surprised about being called out for bottom left hypocrisy.
It possibly being a Calli’s idea doesn’t change much.

I really wonder whether some people here have even listened to her going into what pisses her off about bottom left spam, because it really doesn't seem like it.

I think it probably helps that all the Holomyth girls seem to have settled into things for the most part now, Cali and Kiara took the longest, though Amelia is maybe still a little too hung up on feeling like her streams need to be really entertaining or they're not good enough, which I hope she'll realize people are just into her streams because she makes them interesting. Ina never had much issue, but I think she had the benefit of an easy going personality and already having achieved a decent level of success before joining.

Gura is in the trickiest situation, she seems comfortable with herself and her streams, but with her audience being so large and probably filled with the largest percentage of normies, she realized after the early day "Among Us" colabs, that you can't tard-wrangle that many tards, which has made her really hesitant to colab outside her gen. Though some of that couldn't also be because she's easily the most introverted of the EN girls and it's been mentioned, that it's entirely left to the talents to pick and push for colabs. Her interact on socials are also very limited, but then again she could just hate socials which I would 100% understand, especially if you can just send people DMs on discord.

I don't even remember why I started vomiting this, so I apologize.

I wanna give a review about the Hololy app, the reason is cause @Rezza mentioned before how Cover gonna be a seiyuu/actor based entertainment after having a partnership with bushiroad, plus am bored
32432.png
first, the app itself is full of Japanese, there is no change language yet available.
  1. The title screen looks like a visual novel game, or idol-ish game like idolmaster or bandori, weirdly enough there are no sounds so it feel like empty, probably will add later
  2. Chibi sora loading, just like your typical rhythm mobile game
  3. Typical option when you want to use the app, either you want to use AR mode, you choose Sora, and if you want to keep on the app you can choose A-chan, currently, I'm using a cheap ass phone so i can't use the AR mode
  4. once you pick either A-chan or Sora, there is another option you can choose to customize your waifu pose.
  • a. Choosing facial expression, each member has a different one that may not available on others, for example. ganggimari expression only available on Botan and Watame, shock white eyes only on Polka, and others have similar expression
  • b. Pose, now this is a generic option where everyone has the same pose to choose nothing much
  • c. Moving Pose, currently only have one where they dancing
  • d. Moving Pose+Voice, now this is what i feel when they going to charge you in the future. currently only available with Sora, and Miko but basically they did a special move with some message on it. idk it's on Japanese, but it feels like when you buy their voice pack merch but with extra animation of the character
  • e. it's just change the background
a bit forgot to add a screenshot but on the home screen, there shop menu, but since there is nothing there yet. I assume you can buy something with real money like a Costume, Moving set+Voice, or accessory that you can put on your oshi (?) or like lock accessory like robocco donkey ears, or Noel cow ribbon. this might be another way for Cover to monetize their talent if some people can't buy merch right away, micro-transaction is the future i guess-- plus it's easier to access for Kids, knowing merch ain't cheap. and doing transaction on phone is easier when you able to steal your parents CC.

also currently only Roboco and Miko have an alternative costume.

the girl lineup is not based on each gen, a bit weird, and idk how they decided. But the girl which available now currently are:
Sora, Roboco, Mel, Hachama, Matsuri, Aqua, Shion, Choco-Sensei, AZKi, Miko, Marine, Kanata, Watame, Lami, Nene, Botan, Polka, Ankimo (out of nowhere?)
coming from MMD model, the missing ones are Korone, Okayu, and Aki.

so yeah, seems Cover going to expand their market (?) or likely the talent will do more than just singing, streaming, and commercial only. but this means the contract will be more complicated than before like Coco, since now your voice will be tied in with an app, which is not a short plan, and keep expanding. i wonder how will it go

5 minutes of spilling water. She fit the meme. She embraced the meme. And meme culture dictates it to be used to bloody sores. At this point it doesn’t matter whether or why she doesn’t like it. Unless a better maymay crops up not much she can do about it.
You’d think out of EN girls she’d have the thickest skin, but time and time again it’s proven not so. No hate, but hard to take these outbursts seriously.

Imagine Gura suddenly whining about being the dum character of the bunch when she herself encouraged it.

Nah, she's got a point though. People screaming "bottom left" in situations that aren't lewd or are meant to be serious just feels like some cringy ass kid saying "that's what she said" at every semi-innuendo. It's not even like she's trying to kill the meme, she even says to "try to use it in more fitting situations." And honestly though, the brain-dead Reddit-types that think referencing a meme in every situation is peak humor, even though it just flanderizes talented streamers, need to be checked more often. It's not even about having thick skin either as I think FBK and Marine have both spoken out against this.
