Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

However when the red team fucks up it seems to be more accepted in this country.
I can't give the context to this quote a friend told me, but I can't believe that people genuinely believe that Republican politicans/governors who fuck up is MORE acceptable in this country. I'm so confused as to which planet this people live on. Why is it so hard for people to believe that all news (CNN, MSNBC, FOX, whatever) and all politicans might be lying to them? And this guy isn't particularly political either. But I'm baffled that someone in a blue state believes that it's more accepted when Republicans fuck up than Democrats.

Thoughts on Cuomo resignation?
Strange amount of bluechecks and journos suddenly acting concerned enough to talk about it nonstop. Its a big story but is something we all knew was coming really this big? Are they just trying to throw a bone to people to get them to stop asking about Joe's status, or is something else happening? Maybe they're hoping people won't pay attention to getting raped by the infrastructure bill.

I can see why they think that. Every night they are bombarded with stories, most of which untrue, of various red team misdeeds. So it seems like the few times blue team misdeeds are reported they are punished at a higher rate.

You are aware D.C. straddles the Potomac River, the physical and political demarcation line between Virginia and Maryland, right? Right? There's a reason the Civil War dragged on for so long, and its because Richmond and D.C. were practically within yelling distance of each other.
Shame they didn't all kill each other. Richmond blows almost as much as DC.

Infrastructure bill just passed the Senate at almost the exact same moment Cuomo was resigning. Surely that’s just a coincidence.

Well shit. I stop caring about politics for four days and I find out Republicans have cucked once again in regards to the infrastructure bill. Jesus fucking Christ. Why don't these fucking cucks just switch parties already? Let's get this slow death over with. Either nut up, or shut the fuck up you goddamn hypocrites.
And you will continue to reward them by voting straight republican for the rest of your life anyway.

Maybe that's it. He sees Cuomo resigning (and he's happy), but is baffled at why DeSantis doesn't have to resign since sick children are now flooding Florida hospitals according to the media. Then it's hard to debunk that because what evidence will he accept?

Also, what's the hell is happening in Texas? Abbott is asking for out of state nurses to staff hospitals and fight COVID? There seems to be a lot of context missing here, but my friends are using it to prove that Texas has mismanaged COVID and I don't have a reply.

Governor Greg Abbott today announced a series of actions the State of Texas is taking to mitigate the recent rise in COVID-19 cases in Texas. The Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) will be utilizing staffing agencies to provide medical personnel from out-of-state to Texas health care facilities to assist in COVID-19 operations. The Governor has also sent a letter to the Texas Hospital Association asking hospitals to voluntarily postpone elective medical procedures, for which a delay will not result in loss of life or the deterioration of a patient's condition, in order to increase hospital capacity for COVID-19 patients.

Governor Abbott is directing the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) and DSHS to open additional COVID-19 antibody infusion centers in communities across the state. These infusion centers will treat COVID-19 patients who do not need hospitalization with therapeutic drugs that can prevent their condition from worsening and requiring hospital care. These centers also help increase bed capacity in hospitals so that resources are available for the most ill patients. The existing infusion center in Lubbock will expand capacity this week, and DSHS will launch five new centers throughout Texas beginning with a facility in San Antonio tomorrow. The State deployed similar measures in early 2021 to communities across Texas. Patients must meet certain criteria and have a referral from a doctor.

The Governor is also directing TDEM and DSHS to increase vaccination availability across the state and encourages all Texans to get the COVID-19 vaccine. Texans can visit covidvaccine.texas.gov to find a provider near them. Texans can also utilize TDEM's State Mobile Vaccine Program by calling 844-90-TEXAS and selecting Option 3 to schedule a mobile vaccine clinic to vaccinate groups of of friends, families, employees, volunteers, and more. Homebound Texans can also call 844-90-TEXAS and choose Option 1 to request a mobile vaccine team to come to their home.

"The State of Texas is taking action to combat the recent rise in COVID-19 cases and ensure that our hospitals and communities have the resources and support they need to mitigate the virus," said Governor Abbott. "Texans can help bolster our efforts by getting vaccinated against COVID-19. The COVID-19 vaccine is safe and effective, and it is our best defense against this virus. Texans can visit covidvaccine.texas.gov to find a COVID-19 vaccine provider near them."

Easy answer is backroom talks that we don't know.
Most likely govrments requireing certain amount of nurses for delta varraint(covid19)
that goverment substacy require more covid rules.

Or pull a Obama, and pass a bunch of bullshit.
Either Cuomo will make vaccines mandatory across the state right before he leaves, or Hochul will do it the first day she is sworn in.

Its because the fed has decided to bus thousands of illegal Mexicans in to random Texas towns loaded up with COVID and just drop them off without warning. So now Texas is getting flooded with thousands of COVID cases that should have never been let in to the country.

All part of turning Texas blue with their kids.

I forgot about that, but unfortunately the media has already deemed that a "right wing conspiracy theory", so there's no way to win this argument except not to play. Which I've done a lot lately and apparently people have noticed because one guy explicitly called me out because I've repeatedly said that I don't want to argue about politics too much let's agree to disagree, which of course means that I know I'm wrong and can't defend my ideas.
