I guess there's no point being MATI, but it is kind of infuriating that when the leopard finally ate Becky's face, the lesson she drew wasn't that a culture of combing through everyone's past words and deeds relentlessly and punishing them for the slightest indication of wrongthink is bad. No, she still thinks that's fine. The real problem here is that no one consulted supreme arbiter Becky as to whether Daniel was an acceptable cancel target, because Becky forgives his past infractions therefore he's absolved.

I take solace in the fact that, as I have said before, Becky is a nexus of human misery which the cucks entered willingly and with all knowledge of what she is and what she does. Her entire life is about making no meaningful effort to change that and instead further deadening herself with drugs, conspicuous consumption and overpriced food, and assuaging her ever-creeping guilt and despair by turning to internet strangers and begging for goodfeels. Daniel and Jackson enable this behavior to the detriment of everyone else that Becky comes in contact with so quite frankly I’d raise a glass if they both died of prostate cancer tomorrow.

Most of those are likely hardcore fans as most of the sub is usually casual posting about the game, but man they hated Wattson being so lousy stats wise (which is apparently down to him) and there was a lot of complaining about Seer being utterly OP before yesterday. I imagine most people don't give a monkeys who Daniel is and just want the game rebalanced. If Daniel was the one in the way of that, then woo mission done. Most of them won't know who Bex is or give a stuff about her pity party.

Also looking up what causes miscarrages - apparently stress causing it is hearsay at best and more often it's down to age, chromosomal abnormalities or chronic issues. OFC people are not gonna google what actually causes a miscarrage and fall for media tropes implying women can't get too stressed lest they drop dead fetuses everywhere.

Yeah, pretty much none of these people seem to know or care about Bex. The most popular tweet with the announcement, from Apex Legends News, has nearly 500 replies and climbing, but no mention of Daniel's personal life. Just players who were pissed about game balance.

I think back to one of the best lessons on customer service I ever heard, from the movie Road House: the "Be Nice" speech.

FPS games are full of whiners, degenerates, know-it-alls, and every variety of dimwit shithead. But you don't win anything when you antagonize the community. Listen to their whining, smile, nod, address their concerns politely, and go back about your business. Daniel got to feel like a hotshot for two seconds after dunking on these goofs. Think it's worth it now?

Real talk, I don't think he got fired for the blog posts. If he was someone Respawn wanted to keep on the game because he was doing good work, they would have let him ride out the furor. With the Activision Blizzard shit ongoing it would have taken a couple of days max for something else to fill up the headlines. The blog posts gave them a handy shortcut to get Daniel and Becky out the door without the tedium of writing up his actual job performance.

Becky claims to not be out the door yet - but that's highly debatable. She's always been a, 'I wasn't fired, I quit!' type, and when she loses this job it's going to totally be because of the stress and harassment and the grieving over her fake miscarriage and not because the company has absolutely no reason to keep on someone who does no work and shit-talks them constantly.

Becky is also exactly the sort to be, 'The mother just knows', about being pregnant, even with all the science against her. But again, the narrative she's spinning is so full of bullshit that who knows how many of the steps leading up to Becky maintaining the status quo of not letting some child take the attention away from her are true. Realistically, she probably went to a doctor at some point, and everything else is highly questionable bullshit.

I do like how the totally trans Becky gleefully uses the very masculine excuses of 'women's troubles' to get out of work. She's exactly that basic bitch who learned early on that people don't challenge a woman who uses her period - and now, pregnancies - as a reason why she doesn't have to do something.

Most of the guys at Blizzard going around being arsewipes were good at their jobs apparently so nobody wants to ride on that right now. I would imagine considering the mention of EA in both Bex and Daniels threads suggests that EA management swooped in to tell Respawn "holy crap get rid of this guy plz".

I think it's real because Daniel might be an arse, but he doesn't tend to lie like Bex does and the tone of the thread seems genuinely remorseful vs "dang awful gamers" if he really thought it was the reddit hardcores that got him sacked.

The sad thing is while I would agree that one should be judged on who they are today vs yesterday. The players also didn't seem to care much for his style of engagement with the community. I would argue he should be more judged on *that* because there's something to learn from there. But because they sacked him over the blogs means he won't learn what was wrong with his current conduct anyway.

I presume from the rare occasion of Bex actually deleting the thread that Daniel might of also been given some parting advice implying the oversharing online wasn't helping his chances to get work elsewhere and he's trying desprately to convince her to keep things on the down-low.

Also, Daniel, unlike Bex, has to get another job elsewhere fairly soon (if for no other reason than if he doesn’t start pulling an income the rape accusations are going to start flying again). Bex doesn’t have to do jack shit and the cucks will put up with her, as her stint as a housewife plainly showed. She can say whatever she wants, Daniel can’t, especially since he was (supposedly) let go for shit he said years ago. Some potential employers still might not care about that piddling shit, but showing your ass to your former employer in front of the entire internet hours after you’ve been shitcanned is unprofessional by any standard and I don’t think he’s stupid enough to even leave to chance the Wayback Machine capturing an outburst like that.

Even a moron like Becky has to finally understand that oversharing on the internet can be hazardous to her future employment prospects AND Daniel's as well. Now that he's out the door and her contract is soon to be up and not renewed, she's doing the one smart thing in her life by deleting Tweets and not having every little brain fart posted publicly. Let's see how long that lasts before she's showing her ass all over Twitter again.

Based on Daniel's prior interactions with Apex fans, I'll bet that he really wanted to tell everyone to eat shit and die, but only put up his more measured response so as to not harm his future job prospects. Becky could learn from that, but she won't.
