I think I figured out a main issue with how this show is being marketed. They're trying to pander to the SJWs of tumblr with the show, but they're also being "edgy" and "in your face"(Huey, the rape joke, their general attitude towards people criticizing them), ignoring the fact that edginess and SJW does not mix well at all. One could argue they're extreme opposites, in fact.

Well, the consensus seems to be that they actually went to make threads about themselves on 4/8chan so they could complain about harassment later.
