I am thinking of going to best buy sometime this week, I might see if they can recover the drive, if I can recover the file I'll be uploading the clips I recorded from that ( I learned my lesson after the first pillstream reconciliation).

When I was looking into recovering a hard drive, every reputable company that only did data recovery would give you a free diagnosis and recovery quote if provided with the drive in question.

I don't think there is enough interest to successfully crowdfund an HDD recovery based on the prices I was quoted for a head-crashed drive years ago, but man if it worked I suspect the result would be pretty funny.
