I have seen some of this at the store i work for. except the prices on those products are ALSO going up 20-30 cents a month the same as the non shrunk products. For example: A bottle of store brand mustard used to be 80 cents. Now the bottle is slightly smaller but costs a whole dollar.

.....when we even get stuff to sell. logistics is fucked at every level. we have huge gaps on the shelves and have for a year. where as we used to get 1800 boxes on a truck we now only get 7-800. 1000 if we are lucky. we are hearing that they are hoarding product at the distribution level.

If This is the response to a simple mask mandate i don't imagine the democrats will get much cooperation for a federal lock down or any sort of mandate. The legislature passed a law saying schools had to follow "model policies" on making sure trans kids can use any bathroom they want, and a lot of school boards just kind of went, "Well........... we already have nondiscrimination policies, that's fine." And then the state superintendent said, "We specifically said that wasn't enough, you have to make sure they are welcome and pronouned correctly," and the school boards are like, "......... I think we're good actually." In suing the state, they got them to admit it was "just guidance" and has no enforcement mechanism, so the state can't try to withhold funds for defying them. The mask mandates will get the same treatment. I think the law in Virginia is something like "have to follow CDC guidance as much as practicable" and the school boards can just say, "Well, it's not practicable, so we aren't doing it."
