So, I think over a thousand pages ago I talked about this. I'm really good with faces. Names are shit, but I am almost always dead on when I say I have seen a person somewhere. That kind of thing is very detail oriented and being able to kind of pick-out certain features that stand out past the wholistic image of a face (or backdrop, horizon, treeline, etc. . .). After seeing a lot of the HL and Niji face doxxes, I have been surprised pretty rarely, and I think it has to do with how the artists kind of tailor the creation to talent. . . an overlap. I can't draw for shit, but I can kind of see what they are going for if that makes any sense.
@ZMOT has it with the body type for the most part, it can be hit or miss in accuracy. But I'm telling you, the faces are drawn, at least after first generation, with the background in mind. Now some are pretty different, but the only thing about EN that I didn't expect was Ame's roommate not being blonde. . . she just has every other color in the crayon-box.
Personally I'm not at that level with faces, but I kinda see what you mean about how they generally just look "right". An interesting experiment would be:
Take someone who's never watched HoloEN or maybe even VTubers in general, give them a 1-2 minute clip of each member, and the pics of their roommates (exclude IRyS, I don't think we know her face?). Then see how well they can match them up.
I bet on average, people would get them all correct - at worst, mixing up Ame and Gura.
To those who said the models must be similar to the talents, I'll remind you that Coco is 180cm (5'11") while kson is 152cm.
Not sure anyone said they
must be. Personally all I think is that the avatars being similar in certain ways would make the kayfabe easier, which might be an appealing factor to some talents, but maybe not an important factor for Coco.
This is an even better clip (albeit not exactly a clip) than the one I posted. Nene's roommate looks like she walked out of the pages of a haute-couture fashion magazine, and
this is how she acts on-stream. I love it. (Side note: Also loving all the Nene appreciation in these past few pages).
Don't know if this has been posted before but here is alleged Fatsuri dug up from the depths of old /jp/ vtuber threads, I think there are more but never saved them.

At the risk of a minor powerlevel - I used to be 50 pounds overweight, but lost it all a few years ago and kept it off. As far as weight loss journeys go, 50lbs is a
walk in the park compared to what some people need to do, but even so, my relationship with food has never been the same since. My body cannot self-regulate anymore, I need to
actively think about what I'm eating, to this day.
I give you this TMI for two reasons:
1) Matsuri may be a crazy bitch, but good on her for losing that much weight and keeping it off. My 50 was "easy" enough, but she looks like she had a decent amount more.
2) I suspect IRyS used to be fat, purely from her on-stream behavior. During a superchat reading she mentioned calories out of the blue like three times. E.g. somebody sent an "It's my birthday!" Superchat, she said happy birthday, mentioned cake, and then talked about the calories. It was that kind of train of thought each time. It's no proof of anything, of course, it just struck me as being eerily similar to how I think now.
Sorry, I don't have timestamps, only made a mental note of it. It's not important, just something I was curious about. A little rrat, I suppose. Tiny one. Maybe just a mmouse.
Edit:
Dunno bout that she seems fit from her pics back from 2014 she does like to eat a lot of sweets it seems like tho
Ah, didn't know there were pics. That was a quick rrat kill!
