I don't remember if I said this before, regardless, it was a while ago. Let me just drop my two cents on the transphobia thing: It's a catch 22. The more important trans activism is, the less we want to call Jerry by his chosen name. It's like the man said, Jerry is a textbook transtrender/fetishist. He showed no signs of being trans before trooning out, and continues to do everything he can to act like a man trying to evade criticism by claiming to be a part of an oppressed group.

If I were merely transphobic, not caring about gender politics at all, then who cares either way, right? Call someone by what they want to be called, or don't. Whatever's more convenient. But if I actually believe in trans activism, well, Jerry is doing everything he can to hamper it. It may not always be possible to tell when someone's faking it, but if anyone is faking it, Jerry is. And so, since it is so important to call people by the gender they are, and not just the gender they appear to be, it is therefore even MORE important that I exclude troons like Jerry from the gender game. Trans women are women, fake trans women are not real women, and it's offensive to real trans women to treat them as equally valid.

thje issue with that tho is we don't know lily's personal life. what we see her post on tumblr/yotube/in her fanfics is literally 1% of her being. Its like that with any creators. even ones who do daily vlogs we don't know what happens behind the scenes, how mutch of it is just 'put on' for entertainment reasons or what not.


We can speculate all we want, but who's to say that before her 'trooning out saga' that she wasn't feeling gender dysphoria behind the scenes? Most people who do make online content who are also questioning their gender identity don't vocalie it because of maybe backlash, transphobia, people might call them trenders, terfs and truscum and yadda yadda. Most keep it to themselves until the day the finally admit it and come out to their fans- or are forced to admit it like in Nikki Tutorial's case where she was blackmailed almost into admiting it- she wanted to come out as trans before the press used it as a gotcha against her.

We don't know what went on in lily's life behind the camera in her real life, what kind of dysphoria she felt or what not. She's now taking hormones and she has stated in the past she keeps her original voice as it just sounds better in videos than her fem voice. She had a female avatar that was suppose to represent an idealized version of herself before coming out as trans, hell even her pony sona was female and the equestrian girl version was female. This wasn't due to her artist lacking male pony/EG references as by that point we had MANY stallions to base her oc off, or male EG human poses in the first movie even.

not saying all people with an avatar that's opposite to the user's gender is trans, but its common amongst trans people to have such. But nobody picks it up as 'a trans thing' because many people who arent trans have sonas or puppets different to their gender because XYZ. we don't know lily's history with her gender dysphoria, and we really shouldn't because that's private information unless she wants to make it public

You see this in some of the discourse surrounding Miraculous Ladybug. The main character Marinette, who is half-Chinese, is sometimes accused of "not looking Asian enough", but then those same people will turn around and say that Kagami, the transfer student from Japan, is "too Asian" and "promoting stereotypes".

New Fanfic Just Dropped

The title alone. Miss Orchard isn't known for her subtleties, is she?

Her fascination with Warcraft is a mystery. The game is currently a media circus, and players are leaving in droves. It's considered "problematic". The game itself really always has been, by the yardstick Lily herself uses.

I suppose Lily likes Warcraft the way she likes Pokémon. That is to say, she doesn't. She's attached to one concept, one character, but must brave the rest of the media to enjoy it. She likes Sylvanas but has to engage with Warcraft to write fanfic and the bad faith observations she has surrounding her. She likes Gardevoir, but must acknowledge Pokémon to continue her webcomic, as little as she does it.

Personally I think the Final Fantasy 14 players, at least the ones that deal in fandom, have dodged a bullet. While her unflinching stance on this sort of thing prevents her from jumping ship with the other WoW players, I really don't need her to piss and moan about Nanamo riding on Raubahn's shoulder (Nanamo has a pale complexion, Raubahn is dark skinned, but he's also tenfold her size and she's basically the queen of her country), or the use of the term "Beast Tribes" (even though the acknowledgement of that being morally wrong is a plot point), the skimpy outfits on dancing female Miqo'te NPCs, and so on and so forth.

She's a toxic influence on the small circle of WoW she reaches, and her negativity should not be tolerated anywhere if it can be avoided.

I hate the third pannel and I'm going to tell you why by doing the bare minimun to fix it so it's easier to understand. I used Paint because, again, bare minimun. Mikaila, there are millions of tutorials about this all over the internet. Use one and learn where to put your text. This's what I mean when I say she never commits to writing western style comics or manga.

This is the second time that Pretty Pretty Blessed is used by her parents for comfort, but there has been nothing of the sort for PPB to recieve any comfort from her parents. I hate to say it but there's a name for a kind of dynamic like that. I realize that the issue is mostly that PPB is barely a character at all, not even above a pet who does cute "quirky" things from time to time, and nobody cares about raising her like an actual child. I mean, what kind of parent just let their four year old to make ice sculptures with a hammer completely on their own? But regardless, if Liliana doesn't do anything to fix how PPB is treated, this could get even more disturbing easily.

Although, I do appreciate she's using actual speech bubbles now. It makes it so much easy to read now, but there's still need to be some fixing about placement during certain panels like these. Good job, Mikaila, you earned a gold star today for your effort on that regard!

However, in the first panel I take the intention with the shadows is to show how depressed Liliana is. Why only on the face and everything else is still flat colors still, though? You could make an even more obvious difference with a few shadows on the rest of the body and a heavy one just behind her while she's on the couch. If don't then it looks half assed.
