US Joe Biden News Megathread - The Other Biden Derangement Syndrome Thread (with a side order of Fauci Derangement Syndrome)

Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Because the constitution explicitly says its a fundamental right of citizens to travel across state lines. it's the reason why Texas can't legally bar californicucks from flooding their state. only the most partisan of retards would even uphold this decision, because SCOTUS would immediately declare it to be unconstitutional.
The constitution doesn’t matter and probably won’t matter for a long time. Barrett has already established herslef as a snake, Kavannagh isn’t much better, and they can pull whatever blackmail they have on Roberts whenever they so please.

Prices won't go down, they never go down. They just trickle along and rise every now and then.

And all of this "better infrastructure to reduce prices" nonsense is fucking tripe. We've heard it for centuries, how machines will make life easier. They don't, they just allow more shit to be done, cheaper, quicker and in bigger volumes, to sustain a larger society. We're all still darnt' pit, 24/7, but this time you have a phone telling you lies to make you feel better.

Biden departs for vacation as multiple crises escalate

President Joe Biden departed the White House for a vacation in Wilmington, Delaware as multiple crises escalated Thursday, most notably the deteriorating security situation in Afghanistan that has forced the Pentagon to send troops to the country in a desperate attempt to help Americans there escape.

The Pentagon announced Thursday that the military is sending two Marine and one Army infantry battalion, roughly 3,000 troops, to Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul in an effort to provide security for embassy personnel and other Americans trying to evacuate the country. An additional 3,500 troops out of Fort Bragg, North Carolina will deploy to Kuwait as a stand-by force in case needed.

The deployments come as the security situation in Afghanistan has quickly deteriorated in recent weeks, with Taliban forces rapidly taking over much of the country as they close in on the capital city of Kabul. Some intelligence assessments of the situation on the ground are dire, with one assessment predicting the Taliban could take control of the capital within a month.

But the security situation isn't the only crisis the U.S. faces as Biden heads to Delaware for his summer break, as it was also revealed Thursday that more than 212,000 people were encountered crossing the border in July. That number was a 13% increase over June and represented a two-decade high, dampening White House hopes that the summer heat would cause migrants to rethink the dangerous trek.

The situation at the border has only been worsened by the highly contagious delta variant, with reports of thousands of COVID-19 positive migrants packing detention facilities before they are released to their destinations throughout the country.

The delta variant has resulted in a renewed surge in COVID-19 cases across the country, particularly in southern states such Arkansas and Mississippi that have recorded new highs in hospitalizations.

Meanwhile, a key inflation measure surprised economists by hitting yet another record high, with producer price inflation rising 7.8% over the 12 month period ending in July. That number was the highest recorded in the over ten-year history of the metric, raising fears inflation could stick around longer than some predict.

The evolving crises have put pressure on Biden to rethink his vacation plans, delaying his departure and forcing him to spend some time at Camp David.

In total, the president plans to spend about two weeks away from Washington.

"too polarizing for the moment" = "coming this fall!"
It's like this retard is doing everything in his power to invite an actual civil war. Gonna be funny when truckers stop delivering food to urbanites though.
This is funny because I have to cross a state line to go to church. Not like the fucking road grid of a square every two miles is going to make this easy on them.
I feel the need to one-up that description. There isn't a brick on the accelerator, that could be removed. They welded the accelerator to the floor back in November, Now they are madly screaming at eachother, fighting for the wheel, and jerking it in every direction possible.
Sir. Let me help you.

You forgot to make it a dragster.
Come on Trump policies.
Like Biden is managing any of this.

it's not 1836. It would be political suicide to ignore an explicit holding of tge Supreme Court, which is still the most respected organ of the federal government.
Political suicide? Don't think that's much worry for an unelected police officer. Bad optics and political implications ain't gonna stop officer friendly from going doom marine on a road tripper.

Biden may likely be illegitimate, but he's still an elected official. I don't think many Independents would approve of the government literally ignoring the laws of the land when they screamed for years about Blumpf supposedly doing the same

They don't have to ignore the law of the land. Just rephrase the executive order every time the SC gets around to finally shutting it down. All the while, the officers on the ground will happily exploit the opportunity. Sorting out the messaging issue with independents is a future problem, they want these wins now.

If the current administration cared about the implied legality of an action, they wouldn't have gone for the eviction extension. Clearly, they're happy to play the long court game and exploit the interim ground, and unless the SC grows the balls to go nuclear against them with immediate injunctions and cessations, its not gonna stop.

We have yet to see how it plays out during the mid terms, but my guess is not well. the only thing saving them is that fifteen months is an eternity in politics.

Checkpoint Charlie, but woke.

Even assuming that they have the manpower or can compel local authorities to set up checkpoints at state border crossings, and assume that everyone complies, and there aren't major accidents...its still a practical impossibility. Millions of cars and trucks will have to slow, stop and show documentation and get waved through, creating an apocalyptic travel snarl. The impact on long haul shipping's would be insane!

Again, this assumes best-case, not the reality.

So? They are more than willing to cause Suez-level constipation if it Owns the Chuds.

Are you kidding? Progressives want to destroy the entire American legal system, and the SCOTUS is at the top of the list of corrupt institutions that won't let them get their way. When SCOTUS strikes down continuous eviction moratoria, I'm willing to bet 5 kiwi coins that we'll see calls for political counterattacks (breaking up courts, creating new ones, expanding courts, etc.) on US courts from the entire squad.

I'm leaning towards slaughter, but I'm honestly not sure. My perception of the left is very much that they have the president as the only one who matters, and everyone else is just ancillary. Empowering the president by given them as much house and senate power as possible lines up with that, and similarly saying "Fuck this guy" by just not voting is on the table, and is why I would lean towards a political slaughter.

However, they've been very effective among their own support base cultivating the whole "The other guys are literal nazi's" image, and I don't know how far or deep that indoctrination goes. They might very well pull a fast one by virtue of "Vote blue no matter who", when the perceived alternatives are cartoon villains in their eyes. They might vote in a pile of DINO's just to stop the perceived nazi's, lesser evil and all that. I'm not sure how significant the independent vote is.

But as has been pointed out, midterms are a future issue for them, they'll beach the boat now if they feel they need to, and assume they can get seaworthy later.

And they'll just blame it on the unvaccinated, blame it on consumers, blame it on anyone but their policy, because the policy is obviously the good idea. The endless gaps and cracks and failures will just be pointed to as indications that they just need more money for more federal enforcement to back up these points, not a sign of impossibility. Reality never stopped any politician before, and this reality is an excuse to create an immense amount of pork and hire an army of 'internal controls' federal officers.

The constitution doesn’t matter and probably won’t matter for a long time.
It's a legendary piece of parchment that bears no meaning unless you force it to mean something. Those MAGA grannies carrying pocket constitutions with them as they (foolishly) entered the Capitol? Unfortunately, rotting in jail, unconstitutionally (given the corrupt nature of DC courts).

they can't do it outright without freaking out independents and more moderate democrats, so they can't explicitly go against court rulings. they'll push court packing and other bullshit, but its surprisingly hard to actually tear down an entire branch of government.

He is super death isnt ?

Maybe you need i dont know some kind of big ass infraestructure that prevent people physically entering the border, like a wall....

20 years and trillions of dollar wasted trying to fix that hell hole and the talibans just steamrolled everything in less than a goddamn week, really, what were USA doing there?
