Well there's the picture of his Red save file showing his trainer's name as JOHN:

Recently someone on /vp/ kept calling him John and PL responded on Twitter:

but then quickly took down the tweet. A quick google search shows that the paragraph he's quoting is from some article talking about the official names of the Kanto protagonists, so it seems PL was trying to say that "John" being one of the default names for the player means that calling him John only proves that he is a Pokemon trainer.

This is a pretty big deal for him as I know he used to call her cool, would say she's a different universe version of Leaf (similar to how he views himself and OG Red), and advocated for her inclusion into Masters. PL seems to be saying that Leaf is sometimes naked. Which makes sense, she has to take off her clothes to bathe, right? I think he even confirmed as much in a Discord once. Can't remember which, though I do recall that picture of the leg/foot in the tub really being him. But then I realized...did PL know that boys and girls have different "parts" before /vp/ forced sex ed down his throat? Did he go 15 or so years imagining Leaf with a dick? If he really is as ignorant and sheltered as he comes across, then he had no reason to think that not everyone has a penis. This is wholly incorrect. Leaf is a re-imcorperation of the scrapped female protagonist from Red and Blue reintroduced in FireRed and LeafGreen- who is partially derived from the Manga character based on said scrapped character, who hasn't appeared in rhe manga in ~5 years, on top of being a character with implied specificity via Masters (the mobile game) due to being called Leaf- where official sources name the protagonist of Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee Green- a game which is semi-confirmed to belong to at the very least a secondary timeline due to [way too much to explain stuff in OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire and UltraSun and UltraMoon] besides the opening of the Let's Go games shosing some weird isekai shit of these new characters being pulled into the game of Pokémon- on top of the way the game has Red, Blue, and Green as Rvial characters instead of protagonists. Furthermore while Green is definitely some kind of counterpart to Leaf she isn't a player character, and is instead an acctul character im the narrative of the game, further seperating her from Leaf.

Leaf/Green are in a weird place, even more so now that per Pokemon Go they seem to have globally declared the old rival as Blue, and the previously mostly ignored chick as Green. Even then, it is like he can't comprehend anyone having a waifu that isn't Leaf.

Unfortunately it's practically impossible to have an actual conversation with him, since the moment anyone talks about something outside his incredibly tiny bubble of interests he'll respond with something along the lines of "i don't like it", "stop talking of it", his annoying sad Leaf emotes, or "charizard"

Getting out of that tard group therapy he briefly attended as a teen has to be one of the worst decisions he ever made (and of course his parents deserve the blame for letting him get out of it). While I doubt it would've improved his social skills in any meaningful way, it at least would've helped him get things off his chest, which is something he desperately wants to do as seen with his tendency to overshare personal stories and his excitement whenever he finds out someone has had similar experiences to him (that's what led to the piss closet story if I remember correctly).

I'm curious what it'd be like if someone could get him to just stick it out and try a few new things. Unlikely. Some of thr gayniggers in his discord have tried. He apparently played Among Us once but then quit, and allegedly he tried speaking in voice chat once, although I missed it. Yeah that's the big issue. He always defaults to the familiar. I'm curious if this fixation could ever be broken or changed. Normally autists accumulate until their stack overflows and something gets shunted out at random. PL doesn't seem to be doing so.

The old MC has been officially Red with the old Rival as officially Blue in English and Green in Japanese since Gold and Silver. Japan uses Katakana for Red and Greens names, as is common for RPGs. Leaf has always been Leaf, in English and in Kana. However the Katakana for Blue was also a default option in FRLG and Kana Blue is the name of the Female in LGPE.

It is worth noting that generally Japan does not differentiate Blue and Green as diffrent colors. Aoi has been both blue and green for most of the languages history, and Midori was only added as a designated word for green in Modern times. There is almost certainly no relation given that they use the English word for Red and Green when naming characters and chose Leaf so they could simply ignore all of that, but I just thought it was neat.

Nope. He wants Red in his official normal clothes. Even if Red gets special treatment and receives a special anniversary outfit, PL will freak out because he specifically wants normal clothes Red. It's possible he fears that means he will never get a regular Red, since currently only 1 character (Erika) has more than 1 alt and no character appears in more 2 outfits (besides palette swaps). Some anons on /pmg/ mused that he doesn't want to buy new clothes to match the hypothetical new outfit.

His current cope, and something I think is a very real possibility, is that regular Red might coincide with the start of the upcoming story arc, which they've said is arriving mid-September. This means there's a chance PL will get exactly what he wants on his special anniversary with Leaf (September 15th?)
