Twitter locks account of Indian opposition leader for meeting with parents of nine year old Dalit girl raped, murdered, dismembered - by Hindu priest affiliated with ruling BJP regime

While Twitter censors hundreds of thousands of posts a year on the orders of the Narendra Modi regime, the ruling BJP has complained that its compliance in suppressing news that it considers inconvenient is insufficient.

Twitter is taking steps to correct this, as threats have been made against their advertising revenue from Indian companies.

On the 1st of August, a Hindu priest associated with the BJP raped and murdered a nine-year old Dalit girl who had gone out to fetch water from the crematorium where he worked. He then proceeded to incinerate most of the body without the consent at the parents, telling them that her organs would be stolen if they tried to stop him.

Police initially refused to take the mother's statement in regards the attack on the child, and removed protesters calling for justice against the murdering rapist.

Several days after the crime, Indian National Congress leader Rahul Gandhi met the parents of the victim. Twitter has locked him out of his account for posting the following picture with the parents of the victim.
