the thing is, I don't even necessarily disagree with Logo's assessment of China as becoming the more competent world power. the US is clearly on the decline, I'm not sure how anyone could even deny that. but his whole "conservative socialism" thing seems like an obvious play at having the edgiest spiciest take on that political corner of twitter.
none of this stuff is even novel for people in Woods' corner, they have been noting China's ascendancy for a while now.
I just don't really see the point of getting bogged down in these autistic definitions of what China is or isn't ideologically. are they really a "communist country" anymore? not really. are they "fascist" either? also not really. I think the Chinese have developed a model that's really never existed before. Mussolini and Hitler were nowhere near the competence of Xi Jingping, nor were Mao or Stalin.

if we put all the ideological and philosophical spergery aside, China is basically some weird fusion of liberalism, socialism, and fascism, with neat-looking Maoist aesthetics. I don't see why it needs to be more complicated than this unless a person is ideologically wedded to insisting that China is one of those things and is therefore "based" within their own ideological purview.

For years I've tried to figure out why BAP is some kind of hero on esoteric right wing twitter and have been at a complete loss. I'm convinced I'm getting memed on by all the people talking about him getting banned is one of the biggest tragedies ever to happen on twitter. There's probably a pretty good thread to be made about that side of twitter and it's odd ramblings about why men need to work out in order to install a monarchy and own the feminists/blacks/progressives.

For Kantbot and Logo I'm reminded of the criticism that the Matrix movies are movies made by people with lots of philosophy books but who don't understand anything in them. They've learned to reference lots of high-minded concepts but aren't actually smart enough to synthesize that into anything new or interesting. Put on top of that Logo's contrarianism and Kantbot's need to be seen as the "intellectual" of whatever side of twitter he's hanging with this year (and why he runs off to some other political group once he realizes people don't respect his supposedly immense intellect the way he wants in his current circle) and you get why they have this thread. This is why he hates BAP so much: whether or not BAP is a fed or a meme or whatever, he's well loved by his side of twitter. Kantbot just eventually becomes a nuisance to everyone who comes in contact with him and his biggest achievement in life is being one of the stars in a documentary about being an incel.

As far as I can tell BAP traces his rise back to the earlier days of the neoreactionary movement like many others, but specifically Moldbug. In fact for the longest time "friend of Curtis Yarvin" was always coming after his mentions as if that was his main stamp of approval. Like Andy Warski and the mainstream media thinking he was ringleader of the Alt Right, BAP seems to have networked a lot and have a lot of connections so for some reason everyone would just parrot that he was cool. He recently started picking fights and then I saw more people finally turn on him and say his book is dumb, he doesn't look at all like his chad avatar, his reading of history is David Icke tier, etc. From what I've seen a lot of his most ardent supporters seem to be doing it ironically, talking about tanning your balls as a joke and shit like that,

nah, they make products for everybody, they have positioned themselves as "the world's factory," while the US doesn't produce much of anything anymore. their exports are about 20% of their GDP while ours are only about 10%. in the long term they're in a much better position to exert geopolitical influence than the US is. the US government is facing a huge humiliation in the withdrawal from Afghanistan, the world sees us as an ATM for foreign aid but simultaneously doesn't respect us.

all I'm saying is that having these arguments about "what China is" ideologically seems like a waste of everybody's time.
