Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Thousands of troops coming back from Afghan early
Rumours of more lockdowns and ban of interstate travel
Average American says "How can the travel ban be enforced?"

By thousands of soldiers that would gladly stand about in bumblefuck, alabama, than in a desert full of IEDs.
The use of troops on domestic soil is -strictly- prohibited. And would be an invitation to issues with the rank and file.

I don't know about the US, but in the UK, the Army et al, can be brought in to help with a crisis.

IIRC 2005/05 we had a firefighters strike and the Army stepped in the old-school 'green goddesses' to plug the gap.

I'm not talking about an Army kitted out in full combat gear, but doing shit jobs like manning checkpoints, which is part and parcel of the armed forces, could be used without it seeming like the Army are out in force. If you get me?

The U.S. is a federalized republic. the use of federal troops on domestic soil is outright verboten. Strictly and totally a no unless an insurrection is called and THAT would... well, that'd be the kind of thing that kicks off an actual civil war. For Domestic operations, you can use the National Guard.

Is it really that bad to have the armed forces help out that your countrymen would see it as an occupying force? The irony is pretty funny, but you guys are a bit touchy sometimes. Maybe 'ay off of the sugar, opium and MSM. The army are not the killbot deathsquad.

Assuming they actually try to push the travel restriction covid shit, places like Florida and Texas better just say that travel from California and New York is illegal due to "worries about covid". They bring it up to SCOTUS and they rule it's illegal to restrict that then by all logic the covid restrictions are as well, they rule for some retarded reason that the covid restrictions are legal then you got all the reason you need to stem the flow of cancer from CA and NY. Just report every flu and cold as covid like they probably already are. Seems like a win no matter the decision if you ask me.

You are thinking of it in the wrong terms. Keep in mind, each State is basically a small sovereign nation in itself, which has given up large portions of that sovereignty to join under a federal body. The federal military being sent in would -be- an invading body if not specifically requested by the governor of that state.

How many Dem states border R states? Theoretically, could enough Dem states 'call in help' to block the borders from R states, without R states having troops in them?

Not that it really matters, it won't happen. I do wonder what the troops will do now though? Ship off to the South China Sea to defend taiwan?

If they did, it would be an open invitation to a civil war. It'd be the same thing as one country blockading another, an act of war. While the Biden admin is heavily conflicted, it's not stupid. The default action in politics is no action, and choosing such a path would be proactive, meaning it'd need to be agreed upon by a majority of the puppetmasters.

As for where they will go, they'll be spread out. Probably posted to one of the many areas that are experiencing shortages of men due to the shortages in recruitment.

Yes! Any soldier stepping foot on my states soil who is armed, and not part of our national guard, will sure as fuck be treated as an occupying force.

Every death is on Bidens shoulders.
Comparing this mess to Dunkirk is an insult to the soldiers at Dunkirk. Dunkirk was a fighting retreat, this is a rout. This is worse than the battle of Teutoburg forest. It's completely shameful and embarrassing that the most powerful military the world has seen can muster up a rear guard.

Yea double post whatever.

Isn't that what the National Guard is for?

In all this excitement and site attacks that have shut down the farms. I forgot to mention something important that's been bothering me lately.

Namely the fact that the UN just fucking took over the Norfolk International Airport .

Oh and the french guy who's taking command has a history of sending troops against french protesters.

This needs more attention unless im missing a thread on here. This is a serious potential problem nobody knows about.
