Taliban offensive of 2021 and collapse of Afghan government.

Why exactly hasn't anyone just carpet bombed all of Afghanistan yet? I know that sounds like a retarded question but I'm honestly curious. What does the country provide that is of any worth outside of minerals and a possible trade route. Why deploy troops instead of just bombing wells and sources of water and letting them all die of dehydration. So many countries wouldn't have lost thousands of men to the shitty sandbox if they had just been willing to stop being pussies.

Are you kidding me? There are bombed out villages around every corner from the Russians.

The Russians bombed everything to Rubble outside of the major cities and made the country completely inhospitable. there are still mines all over the country. When i was there we heard rumors of even our servicemen stepping on them and the media/army falsely report them as IED's.

The country outside of the cities is still generally inhospitable to all but the toughest of people. Many of the bombed villages were never rebuilt because the structures were hundreds of years old and the knowledge was lost.

On every hill and in every valley and ontop of every mount there is a hillbilly village with bombed out block houses built hundreds of years ago. Chances are the people living there do not even have much more than a straw roof because they dont know how to cast and mold mud roofing trusses

There isn't a Taliban wormhole where they all come out of. The Taliban draws its power from appealing to the people, either threw Islamic traditionalist values or by promising to throw out the invaders. Conversely, when a foreign power comes in what do they have to appeal to the people? Starting a war and bombing villages for communism/transgender story time?
There's no central power or authority in the country that can be used to subvert the people from their traditional views. So even if you control the country you won't control the people.

As for the equipment. Either it was left there by mistake (an absolute colossal fuck up, one so large i cannot see how it was an accident) or they were left on purpose. For what end? I have no idea.
Why leave military bases in the middle of the night without even telling your supposed allies?

I don't understand the defeatist attitude in this thread.

After 20 years of struggling and fighting, the Taliban overcame the evil infidels and drove them from their country. It's an uplifting story about growing as people, learning tough lessons and surmounting the odds. And the good guys won.

Can't wait for the TED talk.
I want my Islamic content sticker back

OBL said that America was the great evil, full of Satanic pedos, deviants who were corrupting the world.

He wasn't wrong.
How many State Department NGO pedos are lamenting the Taliban outlawing bacha barzi? You think they went there for "nation building"? Think again.

Oh, and the person who asked if they'd be in Kabul within the next day, what makes you think they aren't there already, just on the down low? The Taliban aren't the dumb goat fuckers people make them out to be. Their foot soldiers, probably but the leadership, no.

Everyone who was cheerleading Biden and his cronies because Orange Man Bad, this is what you paid for. Pottery Barn rules: you broke it, you own it.

How much do you wanna bet that they took HCQ as well so that no one in their group could die.

Same thing as the State Department glowies desperately shredding everything in the Embassy: the IC fucked up the timetable. They thought the drive to Kabul would take a month, when IRL it's been less than a week. I'm guessing that, much like the FBI, the rest of the IC is primarily oriented around framing and entrapping politically inconvenient people for brownie points, so anyone they can't charge with process crimes is just a closed book to them. Any "intelligence" is purely incidental.

(N.B. This is exactly what happened in fucking Crimea: the IC had no idea what the fuck was going on and by the time they realized they'd fucked up, it was way too late. But their CRT training is impeccable!)

One problem this could present is the fact they will spread everywhere and with how known they are for raping kids ( mostly boys ) I remember my parent's who lived in U.A.E telling me to never go around people that wore Afghani clothing when I was a kid and just recently when I decided to book a taxi the driver was a pastun and the fucking way he looked at me legit made me walk faster when I reached my destination

This is nonsense, you can look at the thousands of videos of Taliban and none of them are wearing masks, social distancing, etc.
Its crazy how far these masks cultists will go to try to bend everything to their fantasy. "Ummm, no sweetie, the ANA isn't losing because they're abandoning every city at the first sign of the taliban. Its because they didn't follow proper mask policy"

Uhm, you don't need to do either if you don't actually have Covid. If they have quarantined effectively and know they haven't got it, why would they need to act as if they have?

You may have forgotten that there's a critical element to these men's success that doesn't even remotely involve weapons.
With how the US recruits these days and the mandatory CRT our military is rapidly turning into a bunch of paper tigers flying expensive jets.
The Taliban are a bunch of hard men from a culture of hard men.
Look at DBZ, there was a culture on planet Vegita that had dope tech but were a bunch of pussies, so the Sayans beat their asses and had dope tech after that.
That's what just happened in Afghanistan. Maybe we should stop lowing recruiting standards so the women have a chance and start actually going by merit again.
