Everything was reposted to twitter and 4chan anyway. Here's a good pretext to consolidate the last 23 hours into developments for the Taliban, embassies, airport, and White House respectively.

I talked about this yesterday but the wipe removed it -
You've all heard the same shit about "Saigon" and "Phnom Penh", with the panicked evacuations, skeleton crews, and general insanity, but there's so much more to it than that. In almost all of these weird, third-world insurgent conflicts, the capital cities are always swollen with internal refugees and people trying to gtfo. Just as in the aforementioned examples, heads will continue rolling until the streets are cleansed with their blood.
I'm not sure how the Taliban is going to handle the city after it's actually taken, but I can already say (as has been confirmed before) that the sprog of globohomo will probably be forcefully dealt with.

Will this turn into yet another talking point for the pink-haired DSA club president on why we need to bolster the military industrial complex? Probably lol

The shocking speed with which the Taliban has taken over Afghanistan tells me that most comparisons between the Vietnam War and the War in Afghanistan fail to take into account that Afghanistan's government in Kabul had virtually no institutional power and its military was staffed by cowards and warlords. The fact that they fell so quickly was not a coincidence, it shows that neoconservative political imperialism is retarded and hopefully doomed to fail. I anxiously anticipate for this trend to continue across other American proxies

Did anyone fall to their deaths from the helicopters during the evacuation of Saigon?

I guess being worse than Saigon means its not technically a Saigon moment.
