Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

so in the span of not even 2 weeks, we have
>vastly ruined our standing in the international community
and
>proved that we are not willing to honor treaties

lmao I still remember posters saying that Joe Biden's win is a 'return to normalcy'

Not even Bloomberg can journosplain away this one.

What's truly fascinating is that to a degree, and one I've never seen before, this has been a complete unmitigated disaster on every single level from a PR perspective, to the point where even the fucking "EVERYTHING IS FINE, NOTHING IS RUINED" brigade are going: "Dude, what the fuck."

On the media side, the scumbags in the journalist class are turning hard. The old media groups, for reasons obvious, are worried about Israel, whereas the younger outlets keep running into a brick wall as the Biden administration goes dark, refuses to answer questions, and effectively, has cut off almost the entire press corps except for the ones who they can 100% trust to go full narrative, which is a surprisingly short list.

On Social Media this week, I've watched people who have done nothing but cheerlead Biden turn on him harder than I ever even dreamed of. We are past spin, and past the blame Trump threshold. This fuck-up is entirely on the Biden administration, and it will be an albatross around its neck for however long it sticks around.

No, there's still plenty of "Everything's fine, nothing to see here" people on r/politics. They're allowing the same post about the GOPe removing Trump's commitment to ending US presence in Afghanistan to stay up three times in a row and immediately deleting posts laying this at Biden's feet.

What are the Vegas odds right now that Biden has a tantrum at the first journalist that dares ask a slightly difficult question?
Biden deals with aggression very poorly. If, and they're too tame but I hope, a journalist really gets pushy with their questions and he goes off script I would love to see the meltdown that results. There's a line in Antony and Cleopatra about Mark Antony: "Better playing with a lion's whelp than with an old one, dying." Now Biden is no Mark Antony, not by a long shot. But he's a powerful person who must surely feel the same failing of that power and being beset on all sides. I'm certain he never appears without his handlers in his ear ready to reign him in but how delicious it would be to see him lose his temper.

Might make people think about whose finger they voted to put on the nuclear button.

/r/politics is 90% bots and shills. We learned this after 2016 election when they all short circuited for 24h after Trump won and people could actually have discussions.

On the other hand, it's r/politics. I'd be surprised if there was more actual users there than bots.

What's the odds Biden is out of job soon?
Well tbf that's also up to if the Taiwanese will actually fight for their country or simply decide China is the strong horse and bust out the CCP flags once the first missile salvo hits Taipei. In any case the situations are quite different and the ugly fucking reds sailing an invasion fleet across the strait is still several orders of magnitude above the Taliban officially taking control of what they de facto ruled already. I do expect China to start making much more aggressive moves towards Taiwan soon, though.

/r/politics used to be very pro-Bernie and anti-Hillary. After Correct The Record was hired by the Clinton campaign to forum slide on social media (which they openly admitted), it switched to being entirely pro-Hillary almost over night.
