During the 2016 campaign, after Hillary won the nomination and the subreddit had flipped 180 degrees into complete Hillary fandom (they had been pro-Bernie beforehand, all the way to the convention), she passed out at a 9/11 memorial on a Sunday afternoon. Her campaign clearly had no idea how to conduct damage control for this yet, and while they waited for marching orders, the subreddit returned to its old attitudes and began eviscerating Hillary for being carried like a side of beef into a van. By 8am Eastern Time the following morning, however, they were back to business as usual.
In the years since they've also been caught targeting bots at the wrong threads during primary debates at least twice. David Brock, the owner of ActBlue (formerly ShareBlue, formerly Correct The Record) has admitted he's spamming the website to control messaging in multiple interviews. All that subreddit is good for is understanding which way the DNC propaganda is going to blow, not any kind of understanding of what actual Democrats, or even actual redditors, believe.
