People Who Like Anime...

Who talks to people about random entertainment unprovoked at all? Maybe sports because it's so ingrained into our culture but that's about it. It's pretty autistic behavior regardless of the topic. I remember some autist saw my Vita peaking out of my jacket pocket and felt like he could just unload his loneliness onto me and talk about games. He was supposed to be making me a sandwich lmao

As for hypothetical fights, it's just the nerd version of, to point to sports again, fantasy sports matchups. I can't count the number of times my meathead friend numbed my brain about who would/could fight who (UFC or boxing or something). It's just a matter of different interests. I'm sure fags argue about which drag queen would outperform some other faggot drag queen at whatever those competitions are comprised of.

People shouldn't identify themselves through anything like entertainment. That's making up for a lack of identity.
First of: the vita was incredible and sony shouldve never dropped support that quickly

Had it happen like 3 times, with other things that people bring up they find interesting you talk a bit about them and then move one but in all 3 instances their brain entered some primal tunnel vision mode and i was unable to get the conversation beyond them just bombarding me with anime facts and stories that couldnt be bothered to act interested in. Like who thinks that i would be interested in every single detail of some fight and how awesome the mech warriors or whatever look? thats stuff you can spout on a forum but not on a train ride where im fucking stuck with you. In all 3 instances the rambling could only be stopped by being physically seperated because i or them had to be somewhere.

From this point forward i will start screening people i go on vacations with by looking deep into their eyes and slowly uttering the word Naruto to see their reaction. Because i expect them to continue talking about anime for 2 weeks straight.
Id love to study these matters further, maybe they become immortal during that period.

I also consider wrestling fans on the same level as anime fags

Wasn't Attack on Titan the most watched show either last year or earlier this year? That a lot of pedophile furry fags.
I do like anime, but this is one the series people should be executed for being a fan of. Same with Boku no Hero Academia. As someone not completely, but still somewhat autistic. I noped the fuck out of few episodes with it.

Literally, you word it as though you were responding to the series, but "execute deez niggas" is the kind of reaction I would expect from someone who came across the fujoshis of said series' fanbases.

Outside of a few movies like Akira and some of the trippier offerings like Serial Experiments Lain I never got into anime. It's like the television equivalent of a sugar rush, it's abrasive as fuck for the most part. Everybody's always screaming, there's always shit flashing on the screen, the writing is godawful, the voice acting is even worse, and most of it has this really obvious sexual undercurrent which would be fine if not for the weirdly infantilized and rapey nature of it all. Anime is like if a 12 year old snorted a line of pixie stick and cocaine and then just spat out whatever shit was floating around in his id at the moment.

"THERE'S LIKE ROBOTS AND NINJAS AND THE NINJAS PILOT THE ROBOTS AND THE NINJAS ARE ALL ALSO MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS AND ONE OF THEM IS LIKE THE MAIN CHARACTERS CLASSMATE AND SHE HAS FUCKING HUGE TITS AND ALSO THERE'S DEMONS AND THE DEMONS ARE HUGE AND FIGHT THE ROBOTS!"

It's all that kind of shit. It's just fucking relentless. And when it's not being pure sensory overload and just plain stupid it is being so fucking twee that it is hard to watch, made only harder by the tweeness also being pedo bait.

Anime rots your brain and makes you gay.

I'm assuming that means "My Hero Academia". I've never watched it. Seems like some suits in Japan looked at Marvel and said "let's get some of that". It's wholly uninteresting.

As for Attack on Titan, I don't know how anyone could dislike AoT. Later seasons, sure, but the early episodes are the good ones.

Hey, you guys stop talking shit about Sky High!

The major theme is "the immediate and generational consequences of not recognizing 'the other' as human".

The preferred vehicle for expressing this theme, particularly for the majority of the series, is everything in the orbit of being eaten alive by giant dickless nudists, all of which are iterations of a drunk guy the mangaka encountered one time.

The giant dickless nudists and everything in their orbit being the preferred thematic vehicle for the series is probably a big hurdle, especially when you're not invested enough in the series to start using your brain wrinkles and think more deeply about it-- something you usually do when you sink a bunch of time in something in order to justify that time sink. I can definitely understand why someone could dislike the series from premise alone.

I'm just there because as a child I saw a show about transforming space planes and thermonuclear warfare and fell down that rabbit hole. Most anime and manga are trash and most don't even use the medium for what it's good at, which is the visual elements. Also, I'd sacrifice every episode of Naruto and Bleach and their entire fanbases for another season of March Comes in Like a Lion.

Idk. Big freaky monsters eating people, cool music, decent action scenes. I don't really think about it too much, that's enough for me. I guess it is pretty weird but that just comes with the territory.
