I have the same numbers but a little lower hospitalization risk. Is it possible to score lower than a 1-in-333333 chance of death? Still, I'm pretty scared by those numbers, and I'll fully admit I was wrong about the threat of COVID-19. I am TWICE as likely to die of COVID-19 as I am being struck by lightning, because according to the CDC the risk of being struck by lightning is 1-in-500000. And even worse, I am THREE TIMES as more likely to die of COVID-19 as I am winning $50,000 in the Powerball. Scary!

At least this data is obsolete because it says "first peak of the pandemic" and Delta Strain should be several times less dangerous, so I may actually have a higher risk of being struck by lightning and my risk of death may be as low as 1 in 1,688,054 i.e. the odds of winning a million dollars in the Powerball. What a joke! But this is probably QAnon conspiracy misinformation anyway though since it has "Q" right in the name. We all know COVID-19 is the most dangerous virus known to man that we need to take super cereal.

As long as it's mandated by law/major businesses and criticizing the vaccine gets you kicked off the internet/labeled a dangerous QAnon domestic misinspiracy terrorist, the answer is never because Pharma has no incentive to improve their product. It's the same reason Big Tobacco historically refused to invest in e-cigs or other genuinely safer cigarettes, because it meant admitting their main product wasn't safe. Big Pharma can't say "we changed our vaccine to almost totally eliminate the risk of myocarditis and blood clots" because it means they were passing out a knowingly dangerous product and people could sue them (despite the disclaimer, people will try on some grounds), the government (i.e. NYC), and businesses/their job for making them take the vaxx under false pretenses. And there's precedent for this, since if you successfully sue a tobacco company for giving you lung cancer/whatever, you actually won because the tobacco company knowingly lied to you about the safety of their product, so presumably you could do the same to Pharma, a business, a government, or hopefully the fucking media for advertising the vaxx as totally safe.

This is not how vaccines normally work, because getting them is usually a no-brainer (i.e. polio, smallpox, etc.) and because Pharma has been forced to improve them over genuine concerns (and sometimes exaggerated concerns like the MMR vaccine causing autism). Like did you know the MMR vaccine does not contain the supposedly autism-causing compound any longer and is actually more effective (reducing the miniscule risk to an even more miniscule risk) than before? Or the number of times they've revamped the polio vaccine to make it safer and more effective? Or if you want to go even further back, how smallpox vaccination went from huffing smallpox scabs (inoculation, 1% risk of death) to the first vaccine in history (IIRC 0.1% risk of death) to all sorts of formulas where the only risk was the doctor fucked up with needle safety (because he was a random African peasant the WHO/his country's government gave a quick seminar to before telling him to go out and vaxx to the extreme) and gave you hepatitis or AIDS instead.

To be fair the pharma companies outright said AT LEAST 6 monthly boosters would be required for everyone and more frequent for people with suppressed immune systems. The government and media decided to gaslight the public on this because getting one or two shots as a one off is easier to sell than committing to a lifetime of 3-6 monthly injections.

What's even better about this is that the new variants will need a brand new round of vaccinations, i.e. another 2 lots of injections 2 weeks apart and then more booster. Some poor fuckers might be looking at 10 or 12 injections a year. The more injections you get the more likely severe side effects and the bigger chance you'll have a severe ADE response once the neutralizing antibodies wear out. Pretty soon having a jab won't be optional it will be required to stay alive.

That's why this shit sucks. I absolutely refuse to take the vaccine, because even if the marketing is totally accurate, it offers me no benefits (and I have a fake vaxx passport ready). But lots of people I know have taken it. Hell, for some reason my boomer Fox News-obsessed parents took it, even though their risk of death is like 1-in-1500 and hospitalization barely higher since they enjoy hiking and bike rides. I hope all of this ADE shit only means something like another delta strain that's like 10x more lethal in the vaccinated than the unvaccinated. I don't want my family or friends to die because they were persuaded into taking medicine they didn't need.

Well burning down vaccine clinics not yet, we are getting there. The protests get played down a lot by the media but they get bigger every Saturday, and law enforcement are joining them. There is a real fear for civil war to break at the moment in France and this sentiment is growing in the whole of Europe since governments keep failing time after time. Almost no one is following Covid regulations anymore and in the Netherlands they do away with most of them in the next month because the people are getting fed up with them. Western Europe is very slow to take action against regimes and injustice....almost to slow i would say because a lot of damage is already done, but i think we are waking up. Frenchies are very hotheaded so it will take a while for the rest to catch up to them.
