Growing up without a dad has lifetime consequences and it can be profoundly traumatic throughout a person's entire childhood and adolescence, and likely even longer after that. It deprives a child of much needed influences that can help to shape him or her into a stable, well-rounded individual.

The circumstances of a parent walking out are always unique, but rarely does such a stupid-ass fucking reason as "I want to troon out and go be a degenerate faggot with other degenerate faggots" surface. I don't think I've ever heard of a more selfish reason for abandoning children.
