Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

I can't tell if you're trying to argue that Europe has a greater warfighting capability than the United States does. This is a boondoggle, it is an embarrassment, but it doesn't make us quite as powerless as you seem to think. I'd hear whatever argument you have against it, but as long as Europe's generally under the NATO security umbrella, I think it'll ring a bit hollow to me.

It is largely knee jerk reaction to one of the biggest fuckups by a President ever. To be fair, one that isn't without -some- backing. Still, the U.S. military itself remains a robust machine, the problem is that this proves unequivocally that our leadership is fucked. The question now is, how fucked, how thorough is the fucking, and is it reversible under the next admin?

They say the vaccines were never 100% guaranteed to stop you from getting it, just to lessen symptoms. This is true, as a positive test doesn't mean much.
